You realize this is basically what it's like at all schools now right?
What a joke. Not naive enough to think that every player used to go to class, but between NIL and the transfer rule this is just insane. Tough to turn a blind eye of this.
I think the only thing that is different in this particular case and 10 years ago, 20 years ago, 25 years ago is social media and it being posted

Very sad but more relevant since NIL.. Geez and to think, I'm 67 and still having that crappy nightmare that I missed class all semester and had to take a final and to boot I can't find the class room.
I'm 68 and have the same ones. Takes me right back to being frightened in Boland Hall. Glad I'm not alone.
Well, we know it happened. But I think it’s more than social media. The amount of money and the no sit out transfer have made it a joke. Does anybody even care about graduation rates anymore? The days of investing in a Robin Cunningham are long gone.
Certainly not an advertisement for smart people, but they were kind of set up..... to a degree.
As a senior I took Intellectual Origins of Contemporary Communism (with Dr. Stock). If I had just won the national championship and was celebrating in the locker room and some wise ass interviewer asked me what the course was about, I'm pretty sure I would have sounded lost, too. (And if were not, the guy asking the question would have been.)
Think that's right, especially the "online" aspect of it, which probably differs more significantly than the past.
I do think there are still some kids, even in high-level D-I football and basketball, that value and work hard at the academic piece. Situation specific IMO.
