This one many of you witnessed and upset me as much as anything in my time here.

It was in the early years of Willard's time at Seton Hall, Despite all my efforts with him his hatred for our board remained steadfast. No words from me could ever change that.

The proof was at an early Beefsteak event, That night I was seated at table two. That table included multiple BOR members who I did not know, nor they me. When all were seated as we were being served I was asked to explain what I did and why Rivals was so important to the wellbeing of Seton Hall. I was only too happy to do that and I went into depth.

Then after dinner and near the end of the event Kevin Willard went to the podium to talk about the team in general and then introduce the players to the hundreds of fans in attendance. Many members of our board included in the audience. I was told by one of the staff that Willard was going to talk about our site but had no idea what he was going to say.

Well when Aaron Cosby was introduced that's when Willard brought up Rivals and his words to say the least were not kind. He railed about how we were hurting the program and then used Cosby as an example saying the board had a current thread up about how Cosby was not a Big East player. Which was an outright lie as the thread said Cosby was not a Big East PG but was an excellent 2G.

Ater Willard was finished I had looks from the BOR members there like I was dirt. I was furious as the event came to a conclusion I went up to the table next to ours where all the SHU hierarchy were and I said "what the blank was that".

Many were upset with Willard's speech which included many other poor choices of words that I will not repeat and one of the people at the table (I will not identify him) said simply "now you know what I have to put up with him".

At that point what could I say?

I went home and many of you called me or sent me emails the next few days to talk about what Willard had said.

Eventually someone at the school reached out to me and said the school sat down with Willard that very night to express their anger.
