Wow, not just Gonzaga and Texas were kicked out of the AP poll but also Clemson, SDSU, and Colorado State. They are replaced by TCU, Dayton, Ole Miss, Iowa State, and Texas Tech.

Seton Hall checks in at #28, third outside the poll. UConn now #1 in the country.

Those five teams (TCU, Dayton, Mississippi, Iowa State and Texas Tech) have 11 losses combined.

We have five by ourselves and have lost to teams with nine, eight, seven and six losses. At some point that matters and not enough people recognize that. Add in the fact that each of them has more wins than we do.

They're not bad losses per se but they don't shine up the resume.

i agree with what youre saying. im not arguing with the result. makes sense. but if you were to bet me 5 bucks shu gets in if 5 teams drop i woulda bet on it

They may not have the ranked wins (TCU did beat two top 10 teams this past week) but the losses are part of the equation as well.

It is a reason there is a drag on our metrics. It also probably correlates directly with us not being ranked.

I agree that if you would have told me this morning that five new teams were getting in, I would have said we would be one.

I would love to see them ranked but the RU loss prevented them from being 13 and 4 without a bad home loss which would have done it.

Now the task to get ranked is they must win the next 2 get to 14 and 5 and they make the top 20 not top 25 in my opinion no matter what anyone else does. If they split the next 2 games at home the needle does not move for them and they remain not ranked until they rack up more wins.
