Trashing Coleman

I would never trash the young man. I think he played great all year and was placed in a position that he wasn't really ready for, but its not his fault.

He is going to be a great player and its a shame we won't be able to keep him.

Coleman is very good 15 feet and in on his pull up/mid range game. Needs to get stronger to finish around the rim. His 3 point shot disappeared late but that can be developed.

Just watching last night no matter where he went there was always a guy in front of him if not two guys. Yet he found a way to get into the paint and score.

It is going to be very difficult to replace him with a 15 point per game scorer from a major conf. SHU should be looking to build a roster around him but some posters would prefer to run him out of town.

In my mind, there’s no choice but to lock him down and make sure he plays his entire career here. Whatever it takes.

Agreed.
Only problem is fans are no longer speaking of student athletes. The era of 4 year players is over. School loyalty is no more. They’re criticizing over paid minor league NBA players and wannabes. College b-ball, as we once knew it, is RIP.
Nailed it. I’m at the point where if he’s our best option to play his role keep him. If we could get a better starter go get better that guy. Whatever gives the best shot to compete for the NCAA tournament.

Like you said loyalty is gone.

It is so hard assessing players on pathetic teams but you can see his skill, athleticism, toughness in this mess. And the opponents drape him.

Coleman's three point shot seemed different the last few games..
Looked like he was pushing it...and too high.
Take him in a heart beat.
Seems like a good person.

Need to/want to keep Coleman but is he really the kind of player "you build your team around"?
I think that question is irrelevant. I think the question does the best team we can create involve him or not. If he’s asking for too much and going to limit what we can make as far as a team, move on. If he fits into what we’re doing on the court and financially keep him. He’s going to be making his own business decision. Seton Hall should do the same.

Exactly, if we are funding players down payments on houses or in some cases an entire new house plus a $200,000 plus college scholarship, then you run the business accordingly. As a Hall fan we have to root for the uniform.
