NCAA-bound VCU, no less.Good luck to David. We will always have the great memory of him turning into David Three-bek to beat VCU.
Most of the team would be better off down a level. Not surprised he's going, probably the first of many
Simply not ready for this level. Has some physical tools but needs to play at a midmajor.I guess the issue with David is that he didn’t quite live up to Shaheen’s demands for Defense and IQ was lacking. Showed some flashes. Good luck to him.
Yup, there’s a difference in having physical tools and then having a feel for the game and ability to learn. You look at a guy like Dre Davis yesterday that made the most of his physical abilities and always looks like he is in the right place on the court and knows what he’s doing. Tubek to me floated around a lot as didn’t get that part.Simply not ready for this level. Has some physical tools but needs to play at a midmajor.
Our woeful 7-26, 2-18 team was built with guys that fit his profile of “potential” and “maybe” on the cheap that never materialized and it didn’t work.
The agent told him so.He needs an agent to go play two levels down?
So you can never tell what happens at the next destination. He's provably going to a solid school, but put him at a school like Wagner or Monmouth and you wonder what that can look like with his physical attributes. Can they pay $100,000 or more at those places? Is he worth it?He needs an agent to go play two levels down?
I mean, for your last paragraph, go read the thread after he committed. Especially because he was someone Memphis took and then recruited over it seems. So you can never tell what happens at the next destination. Was he another case of Sha and the coaching staff's perception of what a player could be compared to the reality of his skillset?
It seems every player we had was recruited over or not brought back. What a group!!! The old saying you get what you pay for never more true.I mean, for your last paragraph, go read the thread after he committed. Especially because he was someone Memphis took and then recruited over it seems.
Happens a lot, doesn't it? I've always been a big Willard booster, but he and his staffs missed the boat on lots of kids. (This board, too, should be much more reserved about incomings until they hit the floor in November.)So you can never tell what happens at the next destination. Would he have been brought back? How much was he making this year? He'd be better off staying here for less money and eliminate Agent fee.
