1. Replace someone on the staff (DOBO or assistant) with an assistant coach from a team that runs one of the more efficient offenses in the country relative to talent level (Davidson, Belmont, BYU, Boise, etc. would all have affordable candidates). Our current offense is a major weakness, and no one on the staff has the capability to fix it because they've all either worked for Willard their entire careers or are named Fred Hill. Have the new coach teach Willard and Co. the offense of his former team so that we can copy it.

2. Create a new administrative position dedicated to analytics. A major weakness of Willard is his inability to recognize inefficiencies (for example, this year, our most inefficient player is our most heavily used player). Having someone on staff who analyzes the statistical effect of virtually every play we run, shot we take, etc. will allow Willard to better recognize what works and what doesn't work. It will also potentially allow him to better manage egos because he will be able to credibly explain playing time questions. Buzz Williams and Brad Stevens are two notable coaches who have implemented analytics with great success.
