Nooo we have Dual who is an all BE talent and the answer to all our issues…

Things are fine. According to many folks on This board felt and Lyons are the answer to seton halls future. McBride is a home run hire whose results speak for themselves And we have a a great coaching staff.
I think you need to look higher.

The concern is the money needs to be there now with the portal opening. Is it?

Wrong! SH will need 5 next year, The Book has him at 50-1 going elsewhere. 🥵
Agree, PJVegas, sadly we have cemented our legacy as a team that has lost its best player(s) three years in a row from Tyrese to Isiah. Don't know how you turn that around with current leadership.

Whoever said that "things are fine!" Please point out when we fans said that we were fine. In your incessant quest to play the blame game and throw our staff and administration under the bus, you are making crap up. Once we flopped in the OCC, most our fans were desparately hoping for a fix this season because "we" are fans. I don't think that you are a fan by your constant negativity and criticisms. If somehow you are a fan, then you are in the top three of negative posters on this Board. We had a disaster this season due to our meagre NIL budget, SHU Admin's failure to adequently fund it, and Sha's attempt to build a roster of 9 to 10 deep. Unfortunately, things are really bad and this Board knows it. But no one is saying things are "fine."

This season honestly can't end soon enough. It's been tough, but there's plenty to learn from it. Time to take a step back, work harder, make smarter decisions and start fresh next year.

I remember the early 80s very well ---back then building meant potentially waiting years before seeing real improvement. Now, real progress can happen in just 9 months.

I can easily imagine a shift next season: a more experienced, older roster, a tightened rotation influenced by budget and this year's performance, and increased funds thanks to revenue sharing.

Is it crazy to think we couldn't be as good as Xavier/Nova is this year ? I don't think so, and I'll take in a hearbeat after this year.

Sha will definitely be fine in my opinion, he is a solid coach ( mid level Big East ) that just needs a better roster. Not an impossible task at all.

Better days ahead.

We will probably end up with 24 or 25 losses which is absolutely disgraceful. And if we had NIL and brought back Davis and Richmond along with some other pieces, it would have been much different. Nonetheless, if you beat Fordham, Hofstra and Monmouth whose losses had nothing to do with NIL, we would have had 21 or 22 losses. In addition, beat a couple of the bad Big East teams at home (and or a bad Oklahoma St team), and we would have had less than 20 losses. No matter how you want to spin this, as good of a job as Sha did last year, he was equally as bad (or maybe worse) this year. We have bee blown out way too many times, and have been blown out way too early in games. It has made this team virtually unwatchable. With that said, i do appreciate how they fight back most of the time.

And just to be clear, i really like Sha and i think he is the perfect coach for SHU. He came at a really bad time as has been discussed here, and i am quite confident if we give him the resources, he will succeed. I am sure this season has really worn on him, as it has on me (and i am really cranky).
