This is how they lose games - they're over-reliant on the three ball and when they don't fall, they struggle. Also not a good rebounding team and it's showing tonight. They still have a chance to come back though.
Out of time, was hoping the Big East would win out until they ran into each other. That ship has sailed now.
They shot 4/31 from 3. By far the worst of the season. Igo was a disaster too.
Not a "real" Fan of GOLDEN Warriors/Eagles ( tho rooted hard for them in Tournie) but really enjoyed watching Joplin play this Year -- What a nightmare game he had -wonder if he can ever fully recover ??
They also don’t match up with physical teams. Physical teams like NC State are their Achilles heel. Igororo = soft.
We’re a physical team and they own us, haha. Their threes weren’t falling tonight and they couldn’t find another way to score. Not sure how much physicality has to do with it. Terrible shooting night in a do or die tournament.
We were 1-1 this year. They didn’t own us. You are right they rely too much on the three though. Shaka is a good coach but I’ve noticed he is not good at making in game adjustments when things don’t go well.
They got the shots they wanted and missed them at an incredible rate.
