WOW, What a win!!

Great team effort. Loved how we were so locked in defensively. Best defensive effort of the season and offensively we went right at them. Played to our strengths shooting the two point shot and getting to the line. Well done by our players and coaches. Great win and our season has been rescued and reset. It’s Christmas at the Rock!

Great win..happy for them..for now I will take it as being on the anti-Sha side..that’s my fault now and he’s earned a bigger leash now..:happy for the guys to feel some positive juice on their own court

What is so encouraging is that you saw this team win back to back games with completely different styles of play. Mizzu game was lights out shooting, where tonight played more to the identity we thought this team needed to show to be successful.

Yes obviously it’s a more impactful win when you knock off a top 5 team nationally.

But they showed they could play solid D, close out on three point shooters, fight for every loose ball, make free throws, attack the rim, and be selective with their 3 point shooting. Most importantly Kadary took over, Dre provided scoring support, and Wusu and Dawes (at times) played within themselves.

Now that is a formula for success that you can get behind. I don’t think people believed we were going to hang 93 on most opponents night in and night out.

I have been shocked at how bad out D has been all year. This is more how i expected out D to play (holding teams under 70). Just an absolutely fantastic effort. I really feared we would start Big East play 1-5. I am going to have to go back to the drawing board. i thought 4 of first 6 on road, with both home games against Top 6 teams was just brutal.

Anyone else notice Shaheen late in the game with maybe 4 mins left just leaning into the scorer's table as the game was playing. The team was up 15 or so but he was so relaxed and enjoying how the team was playing rather than the intensity he normally has. I smiled and thought, well deserved. I also liked how he pushed the starters until less than a minute to go shooting and scoring, then emptied the bench to hold the ball.

Amazing the difference when Dawes isnt chucking up 10+ threes

The offensive flow was also tremendous... Dawes, Wuwu, Davis, Richmond all flowing, cutting, screening, passing...

You said it's amazing how Dawes aya when he doesn't chuck 10+ threes a game. It's also amazing how much better the offense is when Davis, KR, Wusu, and Dawes pass the ball and move on offense.

Seems Rutgers/Monmouth changed this teams mentality.... Maybe those early and long benchings during Monmouth made the guards actually listen to their coach and play within a team concept? Maybe getting embarrassed at home by RU made Sha reflect on some things as well?

Good or bad, Sha wears his emotions on his sleeve. Would be a terrible poker player.

Tough to harness that emotion and it’s genuine, but players do feed off the coach, so if we notice….

I hope we can keep this up and have a shot at the NCAAs!! Experienced players , playing within thier roles!!

The biggest difference last night was the effort/intensity. No standing around on offense and constantly in UConn's face defensively. It's the way we need to play to win - we're not the most talented team so we need to out work our opponents and we did that last night.

The one piece the needs to improve is that we're going to need more from the bench. We need depth to play with that kind of intensity every game otherwise we risk burning out the starters quickly.

I can only remember one possession all game where our offense stalled and we did nothing with it. I went home and rewatched the second half and couldn’t believe how active our players were on offense. Screening, cutting, passing. Beautiful. That’s how the game is meant to be played. Seems like Sha and the players both realized the chuck and duck offense isn’t a winning strategy. Also helped that Kadary was on a mission. Could see it from the opening tip. This season would be much different if he decided to give that effort every single night. I hope he does going forward. Sky is the limit for him. Takeover KR is so much fun to watch.

Since Rutgers beat you guys , y all playing amazing. Beating Missouri and UConn is quite impressive !

Thanks for shutting down Cam !
Best part was when he and Richmond went nose to nose during a time out. A couple of minutes later Kooks blew by him for a 3 point play and Spencer's 5th foul.

Did you check out the smirk on Richmond's face?

The age of the portal and nearly unlimited transfers has set up an interesting dynamic that's evident here. Spencer had a hell of a year for Rutgers last year, and now he's public enemy No. 1 in Piscataway. And I get it -- I'm sure I'd feel the same way -- but it's weird. Does the fact that he only played a year there factor in? I'm sure it does, as does the fact that he really waited until late in the game to leave. That hurt Rutgers, for sure. Do you guys feel differently about a four-year guy like Mulcahy who leaves as compared to a mercenary like Spencer?

For what it's worth, Tyrese Samuel was a four-year guy for us who graduated (I think) and was never anything but a solid and likeable part of our program (his maddening inconsistency notwithstanding), and I still kind of like seeing him trip up at Florida (which, admittedly, has not been common -- he looks pretty good there).

Been rooting for Ty all season. Seen a good chunk of 4 or 5 games and he's been impressive.

How can you not root for him? Great kid who loved his time at the Hall. No player last season was better in the post game giving love to his teammates and the school.

Plus he got us Bediako.
Can't do anything but continue to root for a guy that I have been rooting for for 4 years. He's living the dream and I applaud him. (his NIL cash doesn't hurt...lol)

The best thing for me during yesterday's game was when a group of UConn fans (one of whom was insufferably arrogant) who were sitting in front of us..... up and left with about 4 minutes to go. To their credit they did give us fist bumps and good lucks as they left. We had some generally friendly banter going back n forth during the game. Always good though to see two legged Huskies with their tails between their legs.

I site in section 7 row 17 behind the visitors bench on the aisle and there were enough Uconn fans around me that did the same thing. Watching them leave that early just put a smile on my face!

We targeted Spencer and his four fouls on three straight possessions after that altercation.

The first one, DAW committed a turnover as he tried to force a drive late in the shot clock. Then, Kadary went quicker than you might have liked, left Spencer in the dust, missed a shot and scored on the rebound. Finally, Kadary again forced the issue and drew Spencer's fifth with 4:30 to play.

Good solid basketball and understanding the situation. You would normally not want to shoot with 18 on the shot clock but getting Spencer out of the game at that point damaged whatever comeback hopes UConn had.

I dvr all games... but this one... it's not that I forgot....I remember thinking... oh what's the use...ugh... lesson learned. Really wanted to re-watch it. So much good basketball being played. Can't remember seeing so many deflections of passes and confident, good looking drives. Looked for a rerun on TV last night to no avail....my son, who is a teacher and coaches his middle school team, afterwards pointed out to me how Sha mixed up his defenses so effectively.... switching up with man, 1-3-1 and 2-3 and disrupting Uconn's O.... Sha really did out coach Hurley yesterday. Note to self..... DVR the games. Also.... in the note... don't get too high after wins and too low after losses. Learning that from Sha.

My DVR self-schedules all Seton Hall games. Perhaps yours has an option where you can set it to do so.

Missed the game and by the sound of things it was my loss. I hope this sparks these guys moving forward.
