Yetna Done for Season

Full quote. Holloway doesn’t sound so happy about the situation, to say the least.

On Alexis Yetna’s availability:
“That kid, I’m going to keep it simple. He ain’t f****** playing this year, alright? He ain't f****** playing. If he was playing, then we would have him. I’m tired of answering questions about this f****** kid. He ain't f****** playing, he ain’t helping us. Thank you, guys.”

Oof. Me thinks they’re going to ask Sha to clean it up.

This is a coach of a Catholic institution?

How about telling us up front then you wouldn’t be asked the question all the time.

Lets not talk about the history of the catholic hiearchy. Cursing is peanuts compared to them

Huh? Coach Holloway is a coach for a Catholic institution. Did he show Catholic values tonight? Expand on your "cursing is peanuts compared to them"?

Possible due to medical staff mismanagement.
Maybe he tripped on the stairs. Would that be their fault, too? Who knows what the situation is/was. None of us seem to know. Coming to silly conclusions is typical of so many posters on here. But really, who has thought for the past month that he was actually going to be able to play? Hasn’t it been kind of obvious? And, no, none of us also know why there hasn‘t been any sort of announcement. But it’s not like we are entitled to the info.

If these quotations about Yetna are accurate, it looks very bad: Catholic school or no Catholic school. Gonzalez---- at arguably the program's lowest point in recent memory---- wasn't even this much out of control. Sounds like in addition to the team, Shaheen has some growing up to do.

I mean Gonzo would just do this to boosters, recruits and other admin on a daily basis to their faces but fine.

Just stop. No real fan cares that he cursed. It shows fire after his team laid an egg. He’s likely also pissed that he was duped on Offering a Yetna another year.

What if his injury status worsened between the summer and now?
Exactly. Could be a million different things that happened. I find it hard to believe Holloway, Testa, and everyone involved could be that incompetent to push to bring a player back that they knew was unlikely to ever play.

I do wonder what the situation was because Yetna closed out last season playing regularly.

Do I wish that Sha had used another word other then the “ F “ word of course I do and most of the Pirate fans feel the same way. This is not a defense of him but in today’s society that is a ugly word used too often in everyday conversation and I’m sure if Sha could he would not have done so but he should apologize for doing so.

I'm not a pearl grabber and you drop one of these occasionally, whatever. No big deal. I also appreciate the honesty and directness since as a society we've been beaten down by circular PC answers instead of facts and truth and get nowhere with that, but isn't there a middle ground? Can't there be some decorum? I thought it was a bit much for the head of our program, so yeah, let's try to be a little more professional?

after the decade of cryptic answers and comments, this was nothing but refreshing.

The word doesn't bother me. I use it all the time (too much admittedly). Using the word four times in a media setting is a bad look. Imagine if it were a live interview.

The context was a little problematic, as in he's of no use to me because he's hurt, but tolerable. I mean, he all but said eff this guy.

The association with the church matters little to me. There's a long list of transgressions and bad actors that Seton Hall has been associated with over the years. This would be well down the list.

Chalk it up to the obvious frustration and move on as with all things to do with yesterday's game.
