18 year olds, no matter the talent level, are going to get somewhat bullied when facing 23-24 year olds. One is a boy, the other is a man. The basketball IQ is typically lacking in subtle ways and the stamina falls off over the course of the season when adding in the increased physicality. Someone with 4-5 years of experience compared to someone with under 1 is a big difference as well.
ESPN panel was discussing all of this during the morning segment on Kentucky. The game has tilted even more to favor experience.
