Close out the final four minutes of this half. Been a bugaboo for the few good halves we’ve had.
Seems like it. Spirited play. This a fan can at least live with. Those who showed up despite the weather deserve this kind of performance as fans. For those who are here it’s been a fun first half.
It is still going to the players even if they partner with a 501(c)3. And if not the booster giving through his business is still getting a tax deduction for their business.Council of Foundations disagrees with you. There are many 501c3 collectives out there. And as far as the bolding. Who is giving to an NIL knowing that a giant chunk of the money is going elsewhere and not the players.

Considerations for Working With 501(c)(3) NIL Collectives
More than 120 “NIL collectives” have been established in the U.S., many of them as tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, to raise funds and enter into agreements that compensate student-athletes at specific higher-education institutions in exchange for using the student-athlete's name...cof.org
What are you talking about? Biden absolutely accepted this ruling. He canceled student loans through other existing programs. He did not continue with his original plan to cancel up to $20K per borrower under the HEROES Act because the Supreme Court said the Biden admin overstepped its authority.I don't recall seeing you crying when Biden was told by the Supreme Court that he didn't have the authority to forgive student loans and he continued to do it anyway. If your team isn't the one breaking the rules I guess its ok then?
they only care when we sucklol Hall is hanging right in halfway through the first and nobody here cares
The point of the post was to give credit to SHU. We seem to use the saying think small at Seton Hall quite often. I just wanted to point out how SHU is on top of their game is some areas. You've made me curious, Matt. Where else was she accepted and is she going to attend SHU?
Are you at the Rock?lol Hall is hanging right in halfway through the first and nobody here cares
Council of Foundations disagrees with you. There are many 501c3 collectives out there. And as far as the bolding. Who is giving to an NIL knowing that a giant chunk of the money is going elsewhere and not the players.Wrong again. Even one of the first ones formed like RU did not receive 501(c)3 status. And it takes awhile to receive a determination. Knights of the Raritan even says specifically that contributions to them are not tax deductible as charitable contributions. Your post is almost as misinformed as your post on reasonable compensation. The players are not employees of C or S corporations where reasonable compensation applies.
NIL collectives that have received tax-exempt status from the IRS under Section 501(c)(3) have qualified for exempt status due to these relationships with partnered charities. Their exempt purpose, as required under Section 501(c)(3), is typically promoting and supporting other 501(c)(3) charitable organizations.Oct 18, 2023
You've made me curious, Matt. Where else was she accepted and is she going to attend SHU?I have to take my hat off to the Admissions dept. My daughter's acceptance came today. She has been accepted to a bunch of schools but SHU was the only one that included a video with the acceptance email. The email was professionally done and even included a diploma with her name written on it. Whoever is responsible for this should be recognized for a job well done.
Good, then you know that it's not particularly valuable. But yes, this focus group of eleven people means just as much as actual polling because it supports your narrative.I think we all know what a focus group is….
I consider Biden and Obama to both be pretty soulless as politicians (and people, too, probably). So no, it doesn't surprise me that they would accept the support of a very rich person when it's convenient.I guess Obama and Biden were Nazi lovers too?
Wrong again. Even one of the first ones formed like RU did not receive 501(c)3 status. And it takes awhile to receive a determination. Knights of the Raritan even says specifically that contributions to them are not tax deductible as charitable contributions. Your post is almost as misinformed as your post on reasonable compensation. The players are not employees of C or S corporations where reasonable compensation typically applies.Talk about misinformation, most did receive 501c3 status. The IRS went on over a year before coming up with an answer on this. So anyone who created a non profit like Hall Hands on Deck in that time received it. And there were a lot of them within that year because people didn't want to be behind the 8-ball. It's only been recently they've been rejecting them.
it would be better if they sent a Taylor Ham Egg and Cheese sandwich.Congrats to your daughter, especially if this is her first choice.
My niece got accepted to Marquette and got the Marquette pretzel. Confused her, but her Dad loved it. SHU should send out bagels.![]()
Disagree for the same reason as before. If you address lawlessness and waste, average Americans will feel that it’s a level playing field. It will make them feel better about government and that someone’s listening.Exactly. They feel slighted. They feel someone is getting something they are not and will always feel that way if they are not happy regardless of how much the government is spending.
You give them someone to blame and they are happy to blame them. They will eventually realize that a bloated government is not the cause of their unhappiness and if we had the leanest government in the world, they would somehow be better off but that's just not true.
Read something this week on Axios that said it would be more of a “blip” for a couple of months. Some of those will retire early or move to private sector. Not talking about affordability. I'm talking about the overall impact to the economy.
Hundreds of thousands of jobs disappearing rapidly plus a federal hiring freeze is going to negatively impact the overall economy.
