I fear that ineptitude is the more likely answer. We keep hearing about all of the “progress” SHU is making in NIL yet the gap between us and the rest of major college sports only gets wider.

Maybe we’re destined to be relegated to laughing stock status no matter who calls the shots, but there’s no harm in making a change at this point.

Officially the worst team in the Big East this season……

not a shock given the outlook coming into the season, but everything should be about next season and the future now.

A few things I’d like to understand:

1. Any reason why PB is still collecting donations given that we need as much help as possible for NIL collective?
2. What else is the school going to do to enhance revenue once the Revenue Sharing situation kicks in? Can we sell advertising space on Jerseys that can be shared with players? How about any and all advertising in general at the Arena, websites, etc.?
3. What is Pat Lyons purpose with the University now? I’ll assume he was overseeing the Bball practice facility and maybe any other campus improvements? Seems to me the school is going to need to cut overhead costs so help ensure there is enough profit to be shared with the players?
4. Can we see some real leadership emerge right now at Seton Hall in general?

Just remember, it took a major 2nd half comeback AND a last second 3 just to take DePaul to OT the first time. Otherwise we’re winless in the Big East and swept by a laughingstock….

What recruit will willingly choose to come here after this season? Unless we out bid other schools(not possible)

Officially bottom of the barrel. Probably the worst team in all the power conferences.

How can anyone argue that there doesn’t need to be some sort of change within the current regime? Everyone saw what NIL was going to become, yet it took the school and the AD years to get serious about it. Now we are feeling the consequences.

And we’re supposed to trust that Felt, Lyons, and McBride are the brain trust to get us out of this mess? Insanity is repeating the same process and expecting different results.

This was our strategy this year.. guys trying to showcase talent who were so called dogs.. the strategy didn’t work

You can find some dogs and coach em up but even if you pulled that off team-wide, you won’t keep them. And the major conference teams that don’t have a good NIL are terrible.

If you’re inferring this SHU team wasn’t coached well this year I agree. But 6-16, 1-10 isn’t only coaching.
