Basketball isn’t a skills contest though. It’s about team play; the sum of its parts.

If Kadary’s individual stats get better from 2-3 players, I’d rather have that. (That includes season minutes played at PG and defense).

Asking what you need out of certain players to win is all that should matter. There’s only one basketball to go around.

I think what some maybe bitter about is that Sha couldn’t convince a better backup PG to come due to Kadary’s insistence on PT.

Whatever. I think we have a good chance to be better than last year. But who knows.
Personally, I think the Kadary's insistence on minutes trope is misleading. That completely flies in the face of Sha's earn your playing time mantra.

Now, do I believe KR made it known he might not be thrilled with the arrival of certain players? Sure, I can see that. But I have a hard time believing that someone who often behaves in a my way or the highway fashion was going to let one of his players dictate roster moves.

I suspect some of the calculus was incoming players saying, where are my minutes if that guy is still here.

Pick your 2024/25 SHU Starting Lineup

But the always announce them lol. What player doesnt want to start. If you didnt start and then you do, its a promotion if you did and then you didnt, its a demotion and we wonder what they did wrong to lise tgeir starting gig
I was going to say, it definitely matters to the kids who starts, and probably who finishes, and I think coaches emphasize the latter more than the former. Whether a player buys in, who knows.

With a true 8 man rotation I don’t see any issue. With 10 it can become trickier with these kids, because they all have different goals, egos and expectations. I once had a kid major assistant tell me that I would be shocked at how many of his kids thought they were pros - NBA or at worst that after a stint in the developmental league or top overseas league - despite obvious objective evidence indicating otherwise.

If Sha really intends to play an 8 to 10 man rotation the starting 5 means very little .

Harris campaign making a mistake?

Is Harris campaign making a mistake by by king full negative on Trump

At this point, there are very few undecided voters. I’d tend to agree that negative messaging would be a mistake at this point. For whatever reason, that’s the messaging her campaign believes will be effective for getting fringe voters who don’t love Harris but hate Trump to turn out.

The polls haven’t shifted away from Harris, her support has been relatively consistent since before the debate. Trump went down after the debate but is showing a recent increase.

I think it will be close. If turnout is near 2020, I think Harris will win. I don’t think turnout will be as high though so I’d still give the edge to Trump.

Harris campaign making a mistake?

Unfortunately, I think it’s more likely we’re going to have two more crappy candidates in 2028.
Of course that's true. You have to go further left or further right than any candidate should go just to win the primary. Somehow the guy who represents the middle 80% of the country never seems win the primary. Bernie could've won 2 democratic primaries if it wasn't rigged against him both times. Honestly wish we could get rid of the primaries because they're not working. At minimum fix them. The democrats have run 3 different candidates the last 3 presidential elections and they all suck. Republicans put the same guy up 3 straight times and he's not any better because if he was he'd be winning elections in a landslide.

Richmond

IMHO, if we make the tournament this year and you see it as an indictment of Richmond, you have to look at Davis, Dawes, Bediako et al as well. If we're better off, it's because we're better off 1-13 (10) than we were last year.
