I have an unhealthy obsession with college basketball and most NIL arrangements still makes no sense to me. I don't know how the casual fan could even begin to comprehend this stuff. I sympathize with McBride and Sha because trying to explain this to the Hanks of the world probably sounds like you're selling them a bag of goods.


Hypothetical conversation...

McBride: "This is NIL. We can't pay Kadary directly, but with your support we can partner with a watch company, and he will get a cut of every sale thru our NIL program."

Booster: "Oh, does the watch face have Kadary's signature, or image on it?"

McBride: "No, the watch has absolutely nothing to do with Kadary Richmond's name, image or likeness."

Yup. Or paying NIL for "fake" advertising, which is what's happening with most of these deals. Or better yet trying to convince donors to pay NIL because the kids will do charity work, which is the most cringe aspect of all of it.

I watched the DNC until I just could not tolerate it anymore. Who hates Trump more campaign, one personal attack after another. All the hatred is not good for anyone, somebody is going to get killed. Oh the joy in hating Trump. I truly wish we had better candidates but this is the current state of affairs. So many good candidates both sides but we are stuck. Long way to go before November, lots of hate to go.

I'd love to know during the conventions how much air time Van Jones got at the RNC as opposed to the DNC. CNN and MSNBC definitely want to spin the RNC, while Fox wants to spin the DNC. If it took you until August 22, 2024 to realize Fox is slanted, I think you should demand a refund from Seton Hall University.

Pirates To Open With VCU At 2024 Charleston Classic

VCU, who beat Villanova in the NIT last year and returns their top three scorers, including Max Shulga, will likely be favored against us at this point. And if we do beat them, I wouldn't sleep on Vanderbilt, if they beat Nevada. They revamped their roster with AJ Hoggard (Big NIL Payday) and Chris Manon. It's not an easy draw but if we ultimately view ourselves as a Tournament team, these are teams we have to beat. I feel like Miami would eventually become the only team in this tournament viewed at season's end as a "good" loss.

I want to thank you for kind words about my beloved Grandfather (Congressman Pascrell) who I will miss dearly.

I am Billy IV, graduated from Seton Hall undergrad and Law School and a die hard Pirate basketball fan.

He was there through the whole journey as was so proud.

One of the many things I will miss dearly: me being a huge Pirate fan and my grandfather being a Fordham Ram (alumni) basketball regular. It was our little rivalry that unfortunately I never got to see.

I’ll miss going to those Fordham games and taking Him to my Seton Hall games.

In true Pop fashion, he would let me know every year that Fordham and Seton Hall weren’t playing because the Pirates were too scared to schedule a game against the Rams. 😂😂. I’ll miss that so much.

Thank you to the Seton Hall community for all you have done for me personally and for the nice tribute the school put up for my Pop.

Love you forever Pop. Rest in Peace.

You can pay for a meet and greet but once they pick up a ball that’s where they draw the line.

If you recall last year Knight Society hosted a fan fest event (similar to a midnight madness - dunk contest, 3 point contest, etc.) and in the last minute they had to cancel all the basketball activities due to NIL rules.

Rutgers also has billboards over state borders stating jersey is rutgers country. first thing you see. they are having a big push with this kind of stuff.
