The Hall will play four tournaments this fall.
SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – The 2023 Seton Hall men's golf fall schedule was announced on Wednesday. The Pirates will participate in four events this fall.

The Hall will open the fall season for the sixth straight time with the Alex Lagowitz Memorial, hosted by Colgate University at Seven Oaks Golf Club in Hamilton, N.Y., Sept. 2-3. Last fall, the Pirates claimed double titles with The Hall winning the team championship and Wanxi Sun (Danville, Calif.) taking the individual title. The Pirates won the team event by 12 strokes with a staggering 23-under-par, 277-280-284-841. Sun shot an 11-under-par, 67-68-70-205. The three-round event is named in memory of the son of Seton Hall assistant coach Ian Lagowitz. Alex played collegiate golf at Colgate.

At the end of September, the Pirates will return to Yale for the first time since the 2022 NCAA Regional. The Pirates will play the MacDonald Cup, hosted by Yale University, Sept. 23-24. The 12th-seeded Hall placed eighth outpacing Top-35 schools Charlotte and NC State in route to an 8-over-par with a 275-286-287-848. Wenliang Xie (Zhaoqing, China) was the top Pirate on the current team with a 6-over-par, 73-75-68-216.

The Hall will play a new tournament, Oct. 9-10, the Grier Jones Shocker Invitational. Hosted by Wichita State University, the event will be at Sand Creek Station in Newton, Kans.

Finally, Seton Hall will close out the fall season with the Daniel Island Invitational, Oct. 29-31 at the Ralston Creek Course in Daniel Island, S.C. Last year, the Pirates placed 14th in the 18-team field with a 56-over-par, 303-310-307-920. Xie and Sun tied for the team lead with a 15-over-par, 231. The Pirates won the team event in 2021.
