The Hall will compete in eight events this spring.


SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – The 2024 Seton Hall men's golf fall schedule was announced on Wednesday. The Pirates will participate in eight events this spring.

The Hall will open the spring season with the BIG EAST Match Play event, hosted by the University of Connecticut, February 5-6. The Pirates will likely play three matches against BIG EAST competition over the two days at Bear Lakes Country Club in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Seton Hall will open tournament play this spring with the Hal Williams Collegiate, Feb. 12-13. The field will play three rounds over two days at Magnolia Grove Golf Club in Mobile, Ala. The Pirates opened the spring season there last year, finishing 15th overall. Wenliang Xie (Zhaoqing, China) tied for 22nd overall at 1-under-par.

At the end of the month, The Hall will head to a spring favorite, the Loyola Intercollegiate, February 25-27, at Palm Valley Golf Course in Goodyear, Ariz. This will be the third straight year and the eight time in nine years that The Hall has played the event. Last year, the Pirates played 16th as a team. George Fricker (Woodbridge, England) tied for 45th place at 2-over-par.

The Hall will head to The Big Texan for the third time in the last four years, March 25-26. Hosted by the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, the three-round event will take place at River Hill Country Club in Kerrville, Texas. In 2022, The Pirates won the team event at 12-over-par. Angus O'Brien (Barwon Heads, Australia) tied for second place among all individuals at 2-under-par.

Seton Hall will make the trip to the west coast for the RedHawk Invitational, March 31-April 2. Hosted by Seattle University, the three-day event will take place at beautiful Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place, Wash. This will be the Pirates' sixth trip to Chambers Bay. In 2022, the event was shortened due to poor weather, but Seton Hall tied for second place.

For the 10th time, The Hall will participate in in the Princeton Invitational, April 6-7 at Springdale Golf Club in Princeton, N.J. Last spring, the Pirates placed fifth at even-par. Fricker tied for 10th among all individuals at 3-under-par. Seton Hall won this event in 2017.

The Pirates will take on a new event, the Shark Invitational, hosted by LIU, April 15-16. The three-round event will take place at Brookville Country Club in Old Brookville, N.Y.

The BIG EAST Championship is back at Riverton Pointe Country Club in Hardeeville, S.C., April 27-29. In its first year at this location, The Hall placed third in the 10-team league at 21-over-par. Fricker tied for ninth overall at 3-over-par. The Hall last won the BIG EAST title in 2022.
