VERO BEACH, FLA. – Freshman Marta Aguilar (Casares Malaga, Spain) shot a tournament-best 1-under-par, 71, to vault up the leaderboard and win the individual title of the Northern Kentucky Invitational on Sunday.

Aguilar had three birdies and 14 pars in a dazzling second round to claim her second collegiate individual title by one stroke. She completed the tournament at 6-over-par with a 79-71-150. This is her second individual championship in only seven collegiate tournaments. She was named co-champion of the Albany Invitational in the fall.

As a team, the Pirates rebounded dramatically on Tuesday after a disappointing first-round performance. The Hall fired a 9-over-par, 297, in round two, which was the best single team round for any team in the field. The effort shot The Hall up the leader board to second place, finishing three strokes behind the team champion, St. John's. For the tournament, The Hall was 44-over-par with a 323-297-620.

Ana Sarrias Pro (Cadiz, Spain) also had a huge improvement on Tuesday. The senior had two birdies and 14 pars in route to a 1-over-par, 73. For the tournament, she placed fourth among 50 individual golfers with an 8-over-par, 79-73-152. It's her second career top-5 finish and her fifth top-10 effort.

Renee Rane (New Delhi, India) and Amelie Gras (Elancourt, France) tied for 15th place at 15-over-par for the tournament. Rane shot a 5-over-par, 77, on Tuesday and carded a 15-over-par, 82-77-159, for the tournament. Gras was a stroke better than Rane in round two, finishing with a 4-over-par, 75. For the two-day event, she was 15-over-par with an 83-76-159.

Rounding out the Pirates' lineup was Kasumi Tran (Swansea, Wales), who was six strokes better in round two. For the tournament, she tied for 23rd place with an 18-over-par, 84-78-162.
