He's not this bad. He - like many others on this team - are way under their career conversion rates because the offense is a sloppy, terrible mess in structure. You cannot spend so many possessions wasting 10-15 seconds at the perimeter then expect flow.
Aligbe is doing too much offensively out of necessity, which is not his game. He's getting the ball too far out, at times he's initiating offense, he isn't that kind of offensive player. His is touch around the rim is non-existent for some reason, likely because he's sped up. He shot .522 from 2PT last year at BC (59/113). He's 11/38 (.289) at Seton Hall. His usage is higher, sure, but not so significantly.
He's a guy who can rebound well, play tough interior defense, be in position for hand-offs or dishes in the paint. Seems to be a good guy, team-oriented leadership.
