The three teams have been to the play offs 13 total times in the last twenty years and that includes the Bills 5 most recent appearances. It’s no myth! That’s horrible.
That's probably because they had to contend with a dominant dynasty in The Patriots twice a season. Other divisions have similar dismal playoff droughts, but I don't hear you bringing them up.
Answer this, if the AFC East is so terrible, why do they, between the 2000-2017 seasons, have by far the highest winning percentage of any division at .520? It's just The Patriots, right? No. If you remove the top team from each division each season, the AFC East still has the highest win percentage of any division at .457. So it's not just The Patriots bolstering those numbers. They were clearly not the worst division during that period, with or without The Patriots.
Also, between the 2000-2017 season, The Patriots had a win percentage of .743(248-86). During that time, their record against their division rivals were 83-29, which comes out to a win percentage of .741. This is actually BELOW their overall win percentage! The Patriots best win percentages were not against the AFC East. Not even against their own division! No, they had much easier time and higher win percentages against the AFC South, North and the NFC South.
You can talk about playoff droughts, but percentages and numbers don't lie.
Edit: just read over that. Obviously there was no 2027 season lol
