Obviously we want more teams and a better conference and I agree

The no is the word disrespect..the big East is a very weak athletic conference in any sport that isn’t men’s basketball…so it’s not really disrespect

Not totally true...mens and womens soccer since new alignment has not been dormant on national scene in college cup, uconn has had a run in field hockey, baseball and softball the toughest sports to get to a regional and advance

UConn is an outlier and still above average

Soccer is above average

We offer way less sports than most conference…and until the recent new rules most of our institutions aren’t even running fully funded programs for every sport they offer

That is not on par with what some poster think the big east is

Seton Hall had opportunity to earn respect and didn't do so this season.

They lost to their three best non-conference opponents -- two of them by large margins -- and lost five times to the two best teams in the conference -- four of those by 16 or more points.

Their best win was over Marquette (NET 63) and best OOC win was over a 15-14 Cincinnati team with a NET of 91. On the other hand, they were 15-0 against Q4 opponents, so they had that going for them.

The overall record is nice but it disguises the underlying data which shows a resume lacking in substance.

The fifth-best conference narrative is misleading as well as it's largely driven by UConn and to a lesser degree Creighton. Seton Hall, Marquette and St, John's are a good step below those two with everybody else far behind this year. That further serves to depress the metrics because there are too many empty wins on the schedule.

You do realize we played a good number of games without two of our starters due to injury, correct? Catalon and Pinkney missed numerous games. I believe Pinkney is still out. Hopefully she’ll be able to join the team again for the postseason. Others missed time as well which shortened our bench.
