Cuomo and Me2

I dislike Cuomo as much as anyone. But isn't it odd that all these women are coming out of the woodwork now? Where were they before? A third just came out tonight. Makes me question the sincerity of their stories even though I'd love it to bring Cuomo down.
Not a huge Cuomo fan but don’t hate or even dislike the guy from a general policy perspective (although these allegations need to be reviewed and if true will change my personal opinion of him). What scares me is that AOC and DeBlasio-two complete loons-love the attack on Cuomo.

Because it 1) advances their careers, and 2) gives them more power/influence. NYC deserves these two idiots.

Yeah, "apology" may be a bit generous. He is tone-deaf in addition to being a scumbag and he's now going to pay for it. Scumbags are scumbags....doesn't matter political affiliation, race, age, etc. Just a shame that the MSM doesn't use that as a litmus test.

Think about Weinstein...just about everyone in Hollywood (men included) knew what was going on, but they all stayed silent. No wonder the victims were hesitant to come forward for so many years. Nothing worse than someone in power, abusing it and preying on others. I think we are always a little cynical when someone comes out of the woodwork, but the three women that have come out against Cuomo all look to be career-minded with a lot to lose.

I really felt bad for Elin...she (and the kids) were the real victims of Tiger's act. I respect her for how she responded to something that must have been devastating. It's tough for me to root for him now given that and how he disrespected the game when he couldn't win. Funny that the MSM made a big deal about players wearing red/black this past Sunday as a tribute, but it was just a handful of players that did it. The "love" on tour is grossly overstated in the press.

I agree with your take on Tiger but many players are bound by sponsorship deals and didn't have red/black in their wardrobe last week. It was mostly a Nike thing. What's interesting is one of Nike's biggest players, Koepka, didn't go along with it.

Tiger fell into the wrong crowd in vegas with MJ and Barkley, he felt invisible

Koepka comes across as a hard-ass, competitive guy too, so no surprise there. The love for Woods on tour is not as it's propped up to be. A lot of resentment also as to how he fired Fluff and Steve Williams and then just cut them both off completely.

That's the Tiger way, with Mark Steinberg doing the dirty work for him.

I'm not a golf guy at all, but I thought much of the younger generation of tour professionals love Tiger because of how he grew the game and made it possible for them to earn so much money? Or is that more media-crafted myth?

Many of them do, but I think they also want to forge their own path.

The younger guys are okay (love is a stretch) with him because they never had to play with him back then when he was doing that stuff. And they also know he is beatable now, so they like the opportunity to compete against him (and won). He did still bring the crowds as well...no doubt about that.

Fluff and SW .... more to it then meets the eye
Everyone on tour respects TW. Not everyone loves him but not everyone loved Arnie and Jack either. The King moniker had a lot behind it. Just saying

I don’t even know if a three term governor like Cuomo has enough earmarks to buy off the legislature.Maybe for the nursing scandal but not sexual harassment.

The downplaying of the nursing home scandal is an injury that was self inflicted and stupid. This derails any further ambition in my opinion. With regard to the “sexual harassment”, I have to say this is as mild as it gets. Some of the things were inappropriate but who knows the context that these things were said in. Taken all together, these are very mild incidents. Oh my, he touched my bare back with his hand. He asked a female if she would ever go out with an older man. i’m sorry, we are humans and we are born to make mistakes. Let’s take all examples as true. These examples do not rise to where the guy should resign or be impeached. You evaluate these incidents whether he should be elected or not. This strive for perfection or purity leads to one thing, that’s a downfall of good people. i have a big problem with the hypocrisy of Cuomo writing a book about leadership and at the same time he was covering up nursing home deaths. Why these incidents with women are more damaging, I don’t get.

Agree...making bad decisions that led to the deaths of thousands, covering it up and having the audacity to write a book about it is worthy of investigation, impeachment and even criminal/civil charges.

While the sexual harassment charges don't rise to that level, I would not characterize them as "mild" as this is an abuse of power (and maybe I'm a little more dialed in having three daughters that face this kind of nonsense in the pursuit of their careers). You don't use that power to prey (or give the impression of preying) on young, impressionable professionals.

But these allegations also get more press sometimes because this is the world we now live in, where the Cat in the Hat, The Eyes of Texas, a coaches words misspoken in the locker room, etc., all rise to ridiculous heights in our cancel culture.

The Dr Seuss thing is interesting. From the descriptions of what was in there, I’m like so what? as a society we want to repaint the past I think is wrong. If that imagery was mildly offensive, let it stand as an example of a time when we as a society thought that was ok and look how we have grown.

However, the Seuss family themselves wanted not to publish these books. I have fond memories of Dr Seuss’s books and cartoons. The cartoon about the characters with the stars on their belly was a wonderful story of race and elitism. That once the have nots got the stars, the ones with the stars got them removed to stay elite and back and forth it went until they were all mixed up and no one knew whether they were an original star or not. They were all one. That was some commentary on America.

These articles that bring up images what he did in college as a racist past as proof that these images in the books are racist is wrong. Here is a man who grew. and matured from the time he was a college aged student to a man that filled the world with great stories.

It’s only a matter of time until Walt Disney is canceled. We need a pool on the reason? 7 dwarfs insults small people? All the princesses were white? Mary Poppins helped out elitists?

Well, if I recall, Buggs Bunny said the term ”Japs” and did ether and was high. The woke police needs to stop. Can we let parents parent their kids to explain things?

I took three years of German in high school. My teacher made no bones about being offended about the way Germans were portrayed in Hogan's Heroes...lol

If someone kissed my wife or daughter on the lips without their permission I would likely deck him. Can’t understand how anyone could consider this not a big deal.
didnt you know its common practice to compare severity of crimes in order to deflect from the fact that its instill indeed a crime?

Seems very misogynistic of you to say that. Your grown wife is incapable of handling herself in that situation where a man asks to kiss her?? She really needs you to interfere by punching the guy?

My woman gets hit on all the time in social settings at work etc. She knows how to handle it like an adult without her man having to resort to violence.
There is a time when people do cross that line where you have to step in. What Cuomo was accused of doing is not one of those times.
nor is what he did a crime. The issue is whether it is inappropriate work conduct ( which it is ) and whether that conduct deserves him to be impeached orthat he should resign. That’s debatable

Uh... you could stop at Fantasia

That they did. I grew up on looney tunes. It didn’t make me racist, but it did make me recognize classical music.

If these three women all go on National TV and are credible, it’s pencils down for Andrew.

I have a feeling Coumo screwed a lot of people in the past and its all coming back on him now. That is usually how it happens.

I think most politicians screwed a lot of people in the past, however like sports if you're a major player on your team (party), the leaders will do everything in their power to protect you. And they have a ton of power. It's now time to stop protecting Cuomo because he is not someone the party can count in the future. The quicker they can get him out the better it will be. All of the crap he was able to get away with now rears it's ugly head.

It is interesting how many Dems said Kavanaugh was guilty before the hearing but now want due process to play out for Cuomo.if not all politics on both sides are corrupt and hypocritical most are and congress wonders why it has such a low approval rating.Term limits which most incumbents oppose for obvious reasons could help to address this problem. When you have a78 year old career politician as president an 80 year old speaker of the house etc. that is all you need to know founders didn’t envision politics as a career , but the money, power, and prestige are too big of a draw for most to resist.

Cuomo isn’t going anywhere. He is losing some political capital because they don’t need him anymore and don’t care about him for 2024, but I don’t see him resigning from this or the nursing home stuff. The mainstream media will continue to cover this as little as they have to so as to save face, although if his name was Desantis you know how that would go.

I don’t think Cuomo

Cuomo is not going to resign. I don’t think this rises to that level. inappropriate, yes, but resignation is a bit much. I have been seeing this covered by CNN and MSNBC so I am not sure what you are talking about there. Also, leaders in the Democratic Party in NY have requested him to leave. And essentially that the difference between two parties. The Democrats will eat their own even if it is not justified like Al Franken which I thought was ridiculous that people in the Democratic Party called for his resignation.

Well it looks like his go to line is “Come over to my place and help me with my cell phone problems”. Latest victim now claiming he groped her under her dress. Still think this is innocent?

They did eat Franken. Both parties will eat their own when it is politically convenient to do so. And they won’t when it’s not. Remember it all comes back to that. Always. I’m not tuned into mainstream/cable news 24/7, but I don’t think this and the nursing home cover-up are getting anywhere near the attention they would if Cuomo was someone else. We all know why.

Second woman charging harassment by King Andrew. Why doesn’t he just pay for sex and stop harassing his employees.
Uhm the last NY Governor who did that, was forced to resign. Client #9. I could care less that Eliot Spitzer went to a prostitute. The whole idea of making prostitution illegal is stupid and is a long lasting vestige of our Puritan past.

For an attorney, Spitzer wasn't very bright as he had the hooker cross state lines:)

Now there are six, and number six is clear sexual assault accusation. The phony Dems like Harris,Hanoi Dick Blumenthal ,
Messi crazy Hawii senator, etc. want due process to play out.But when it came to Kavanaugh accusations from an emotially disturbed women with her Best friend saying she never met Kavanaugh and this never happened. But cried the Dems this woman must be believed no trial needed, but for horney Andy we must have due process.CNN even decided not to let Fredo interview his brother ,he can only due that when adulation is the key or trump bashing.trump is gone Andy ,they don’t need you as the the top left critic and they are deserting you as fast as they can.
