Game Thread: Seton Hall vs. Monmouth

Not even close to talking about firing Sha. But if there isn’t serious improvement throughout the season then yes, it’s fair to ask whether he is the right guy for the job. There’s losing and then there’s looking like this.

NIL or not, you either adapt as a coach or you fail.

What’s the excuse for it? You keep making excuses for sha when there’s been nothing to show for
Not making excuses. Sha can be criticized. But that’s all you do. I can point to just as many positives over the past two years that you refuse to acknowledge.

Let’s take off the blue colored glasses and realize Sha is 0/3 in building a complete roster here. That alone is a major red flag
We were an ncaa tournament team last year and nobody counts a coaches 1st year. This year is a dumpster fire. Next season we shed all the dead weight and improve our NIL. Shaheen has several more years

Problem is you need to win to improve your NIL. Why would anyone waste money on what is honestly a JV program at this point?

We didn’t make the NCAA tournament. Let’s stop making excuses and patting ourselves on the back.

Getting run out of the gym vs Monmouth isn’t an NIL issue . It’s a coaching issue. The same issue that’s been present even when we had talent on the roster.

Big East team losing to 0-8 MU is a joke...... its sad the only highlight of my season is my Bergen Catholic Football team won their 4th straight state title....... my Hall sucks, my Gmen sucks

I try and make every excuse of why we’ll be good and oh new team and growing pains but these losses have been absolutely abysmal how hard is it to realize that some players like Prince for example are a detriment to the squad and sha forcing these miserable players into games is inexcusable. We’re as close to DePaul as we’ve ever been

how is this game an NIL issue we’re playing and 0-8 low major Scotty alone probably cost double their whole team
In the offseason I thought we were doing the right thing by spreading NIL around and taking low risk/high reward guys. Now I see that we clearly should’ve thrown enough at either Dre Davis or Kadary to make one of them stay. Rest of the roster be damned.

On the bright side at least we won’t have to suffer the embarrassment of Rick Pitino poaching any of our players again.

All of a sudden our offense is in shambles because Wusu wasn’t there? Come on last week we were all saying how much better we look with him off the court

Agree with this. The strategy didn’t work. Maybe these guys can’t be coached up.

In Sha I trust. Next year we will have 7-10 new players. Have to keep showing up and have to keep donating. Unless you want us to go to the MAAC.
7-10 new players means between today and the big east tournament is just a complete waste because these guys are not coming back. It's almost like who cares if we get better this year. It's almost like we could be better off if we have such an embarrassing season rich alums may say we've had enough of Seton Hall being this bad we'll donate more.
