Game Thread: Seton Hall vs. Monmouth

But of course we can’t seem to defend that one kid. Losing at the half. To 0-8 Monmouth. How is this not a coaching issue?
Agreed. Something not getting thru with this group right now. No excuse not be ready to go today. Hoping for better second half effort.

Who said it isn't?

We have no frontcourt scoring and a bunch of guards who can't shoot. We're terrible at free throws. We pass the ball back and forth around the three-point line but aren't a three-oriented offense. We play good defense.

Watching the games, it's totally understandable we're trailing at the half. Hell, we're fortunate we were able to generate that run to have it this close.

Shas non existent coaching is the issue
Please stop. You can question his talent evaluation but to say he can’t coach is not credible. If the guys he puts out there could execute and put the the ball in the basket from inside the paint everything would look a whole lot better.

Another Sha apologists. This entire nightmare is on him. We spent a lot of money to be the worst team in the big east. And Sha is lost

Our zone offense looks like it hasn’t been practiced before. That’s not just on the players.

We can agree Sha is a talented coach and also acknowledge he clearly is a below average offensive coach. This year has been terrible unlike any other though. No excuse.

Toumi going for a steal in the backcourt opened up the last 3 ball from the corner.

Our offense was below average last year. Was completely bailed out by 1:1 heroics of Kadary Al and Dre

And too stubborn in general. Good coaches recognize when they need to change. Even if it challenges their identity

OMG 0-8 is doing this to us right now?????? I just bought tickets vs Gtown on 12/22 on StubHub row 6 behind our bench I don't wanna watch this trash

maybe we can NIL Bashir after the game? this is horrendous, 0-88888888888888 team

Neat seeing players who can finish in traffic. Unfortunate they're on the other team.

When we got it down to six, I thought we'd come back to win. Right back up to 11, think we lose

DePaul, a historically awful program with a brand new roster and a first year head coach is 7-0 averaging 88 points a game. Seton Hall has scored 38 with 11 minutes left to go against 0-8 Monmouth. It’s not the roster.

More BS from you. One trick pony. An elite 8 NIT championship, 13 BE wins and three wins over UCONN IN three years says otherwise. I said you can question his recruiting and he’s certainly not perfect but your relentless negative takes lose all credibility.

I’m starting to think that these kids just don’t want to play for Sha. Almost zero effort.
There has to be something other than just our lack of talent to play this badly against n 0-8 team.

i think sha is a good coach, i think his recruiting philosophy is starting to look wildly off mark. these players are downright terrible.

There's gotta be some heat building on Sha's seat, right? I've been pro-Sha the whole time but when you lose to Fordham and Hofstra then can't even complete with Monmouth...look failure to complete with UConn is an NIL issue, failure to complete with Monmouth is a very different issue.

over the years when seton hall teams are on the verge of massive Ls like this you can almost watch in slow motion the players melting down.

Beat UConn with their best player hurt last year. Won the NIT with half the competition sitting the tournament out.

The Elite 8 run was great. But that sha has been non existent here
