so school placed gymnastics coach on paid admin leave...this will inevitably become a permanent seperation through some type of buyout and nda in my opinion. she violated terms of her contract which should be enough reason for firing with cause however i am sure that gender bias and the threat of me too is something that university seeks to avoid.
she is insubordinate and had displays that woule be considered deriliction of duty,,,btw way too much drama at rutgers in olympic sports over the last 10 years

original terms of this investigation was a 50k retainer, 225k month 1, 195k month 2. so there is an extra 235k in the remaining time of the investigation. boxer was formerly the first state comptroller in NJ and christie reappointed him,,,btw it was christie's influence that resulted in tim pernetti leaving as AD post mike rice scenario. many felt that rutgers handled this in the wrong manner and made pernetti a fall guy.
One thing I always wondered is why Hobbs was not made permanent AD if he always wanted to be involved in athletics, or appointed to the Presidency, despite his credentials and his successful tenure at the law school. It was as if SHU just let him walk to RU, which I thought was odd at the time.
Given what’s come out over the last few months, I think I now understand why neither happened.

No, they just needed that to protect themselves from lawsuits in the discharge of the assistant coach, accusations of inactivity once they were aware of the situation, and possibly a lawsuit from Hobbs.
