i see a lot of highlights of him finishing at the rim from a low point. hes gonna need to go up quicker in college. dont get me wrong it looks #swaggy (lol) but that ball will get deflated in the big east.
his jumper release looks super quick.
lots of highlights of him scoring, obviously, but were not going to need him to score. if he can just facilitate and play D then were golden. if he hits his FTs and nails the open 3 then hes perfect.
Not height strength. Same with McKnight. Both have a lot of BB ability but for most to play at this level you have to be strong. Both will spend a lot of time in the weight room.height means nada in terms of SHU basketball's past... Sha, Dre, Donald... all were not tall but played damn good ball for us
I noticed that too.. he finishes at the basket low, in college at any level that isn't going to fly. I think part of that is him trying to be flashy with his finish at he rim and again that's not gonna work in college. He will figure it out, he is very quick and has a nice shot... it all depends on how quick he adaptsi see a lot of highlights of him finishing at the rim from a low point. hes gonna need to go up quicker in college. dont get me wrong it looks #swaggy (lol) but that ball will get deflated in the big east.

In addition to maturity he seems super confident. this is the most important part of a SHU freshman imo. For so many years our highly anticipated freshman have been slightly disappointing with the reason being confidence. These could even be said about IW to some extent. But take Myles Powell for instance. he bucked this trend. he stayed confident. Sure he might have been 0-7 from 3 at times, but ultimately it helped him. He performed extremely well in the most important game of the year and had a great freshman season. If Walker has that type of confidence he'll eventually work out any turnover issues he may have, if he has any at all. This is a spot on assessment of Walker in my opinion. He can add a ton of value if he sticks to the aspects of the game as you lay them out. Usually such good judgment would be tough to expect from a freshman, but this guy seems to have better than average maturity. I hope it plays out this way, obviously.

i think its also really important to note hes part of the jelly fam movement, which i believe is putting the interest and spotlight back to NYC basketball... dont really know what it is but i think its good for usIn regards to Powell, the kid could be 0-7 and I still wanted him to shoot. I really thought everything he took was going to make. And in regards to Walker, the kid clearly has a chip on his shoulder. I love when kids have that.....I am really excited for this kid.
The best thing we saw with Powell last year is that he was more than just a shooter.
Great kid off the court as well. Was very willing last season to stay quiet, respect his predecessors and wait his turn.
In one video of a game against HC, I saw him steal the ball several times from Quinerly and/or his backcourt mate. He is a quick kid with good hands. Will be an excellent defender on a defensive-focused team like Seton Hall.i see a lot of highlights of him finishing at the rim from a low point. hes gonna need to go up quicker in college. dont get me wrong it looks #swaggy (lol) but that ball will get deflated in the big east.
