Jersey Shore Nightclub Closes for 2020 Summer

Great story from CBS This Morning yesterday......Perhaps getting a prophylactic transfusion might be easier than locking yourself in the basement in a hazmat suit.

I'll take the high road. I'm protecting myself and my family during this devastating pandemic. I have even take precautions now of wearing a mask when room I am in the same room as my family.

I am able to do everything that I did before covid at the comforts of my house. I workout in my gym, work remotely every day, and get groceries delivered. This is just how I decided to live. And I don't care what other people think. I am hoping I can get outside by the end of this year.

Do you think I really care what you think?

Why would you think that I was referring to you?

You literally asked if I live in a basement. And you also mentioned the hazmat part. Thank you for making fun of me because I want to protect myself and my family.

Hi @SPK145. I said we should look at Georgia's numbers today. This was 2 Sundays ago. Please see below update on Georgia since the reopening. Whatever happened to the people that were saying that Georgia's numbers were going down after reopening? Just needed time!

Since May 15th Georgia deaths have gone up 26.7%

Hospitalizations have gone up 21.7%

ICU admissions have gone up 16%

Those are the true numbers. I was criticized for saying the numbers would go up once Georgia reopened. Unfortunately it looks like I'm right again.

Georgia has a population of 8,560,000 people.

Since May 15, 446 people have died, about 30 a day.

Since May 15, 1,438 people were hospitalized, about 96 a day.

In the 14 days prior to April 24, 464 people died, about 33 a day.

In the 14 days prior to April 24, 1,742 people were hospitalized, about 124 a day.

In the 14 days prior to April 24, deaths went up 108%.

In the 14 days prior to April 24, hospitalizations went up 70%.

Georgia should be commended on these numbers.

You really haven't a clue, do you?

why are you leaving a gap there? In the last 2 weeks, has there been a trend from the previous 2 weeks?

I didn’t leave a gap, used the timeframe Hazmat Harry used, you don’t get that?

Well unrelated to him... I think he’s a troll am I’m not sure why people keep responding to his posts, but I also though we needed time to understand trends.

things peaked in April there and started to decline. It’s not like a faucet when you turn it back on and you get a flood. It spreads to 1 person who wouldn’t have otherwise been infected which spreads to 2 to 3 etc over time. Ideally the rate of spread will only go up a little everywhere we reopen but when it can take 2 weeks in some cases to start showing symptoms, Small increases this week could mean large increases down the road.

Still seems entirely manageable there so I’m not saying they were wrong to open at all. Just think the overall day to day trends are what will show the most relevant data.

@SPK145 Now you are name calling me? "Hazmat Harry"? I'm just trying to protect my family members that live in the same house at me and are high risk. Keyboard warriors on this site. I will take the high road. Thank you.

Well, in my opinion it is the best way to prevent Covid19 pantemic spreading, because almost every country in the world has choosen to protect its citizens, because this virus is not as simple as we think, and if we won't be responsible and won't follow all those necessary measures to prevent covid19 pandemic threat spread we will stay at home for more time than we actually can expect. Still there are places like a club in Sofia that respect all those measures and where it is pretty hard to get infected.
