Definitely agree. It isn't clear. I think we have a lot of options with how it could play out, but it worth having the discussion and cost being something prohibiting us from starting the debate is just not valid.

That is why I was saying we should first decide if we want a single payer system.
If there is public support, we can start figuring out what that will look like and how it will be funded.

Of course, but in this case people were specifically talking about Ocasio-Cortez, so I was talking about her selling a publicly funded health plan and if there is public support to do it.
No reason why lawmakers can't be working on changes / improvements in the meantime.

The only possible chance politicians will “ do the right thing” and come to the middle is if there are term limits.
Otherwise we will be mired in the partisan muck for good.
