Joke of the day

trying to figure out what the draw of new york is and i camt think of anything anymore. seems like old news. people moving on for a number of reasons.

This is what happens when you expand mail-in voting and the government (notoriously slow and inefficient) is in charge of counting the ballots.

Voting in this country should be simple. You vote for one candidate, in person on election day on an electronic machine with a backup paper trail. If you are going to be out of town or otherwise can't make it, request an absentee ballot. No "ranked choice" voting, no universal mail-in. End of story.

i like the idea of a multi day voting period.

I like the idea of ranked choice voting for primaries. Makes a ton of sense in my opinion.

Wouldn't have been an issue had they thrown out the test ballots.

Ranked choice is a horrible idea. If the top vote getter doesn’t get a certain percentage of the vote, let’s say 40%, have a run off. Between too two. Otherwise, keep it as whoever get that most votes.

Low turnout for primary voting is an issue. It can come up with extremists winning a primary with very few votes. That is the bigger danger.
