SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Head coach Clay Whiteannounced the 2018 Seton Hall men's golf spring schedule on Tuesday. The Pirates will participate in at least seven events this spring.

Seton Hall will open the spring season early on January 28 when it plays a duel match against Lynn University at Osprey Point Golf Course in Boca Raton, Fla.

The Pirates will open their tournament season on February 11 when it begins three rounds of golf at the UNCG / Martin Downs Collegiate in Palm City, Fla. The event is a new tournament for The Hall, hosted by the University of North Carolina – Greensboro, and will run for three rounds over three days.

Two weeks later, the Pirates will play with three rounds of golf at the Loyola Invitational, February 25-26 at Palm Valley Golf Course in Goodyear, Ariz. It will be the third straight year playing in this tournament for Seton Hall. Last year, The Hall set a school record for a par-72, three-round score with a 7-under-par, 282-287-288-857, and placed seventh in a strong field. Graduate Lloyd Jefferson Go set the individual par-72, three-round score with an 11-under-par, 68-70-67-205. Gen Nagai (Mandaue Cebu City, Philippines) also shot under par for the tournament with a 2-under-par, 72-71-71-214. Both Chris Yeom (Flushing, N.Y.) and Alex Chalk (Castle Douglas, Scotland) were 3-over-par.

After a spring break trip in early March, the Pirates will play three rounds of golf, March 25-27, at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate, hosted by the College of William & Mary, at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Va. It's the second time participating in the event, with the Pirates tying for ninth place in 2016. The Hall shot a 45-over-par, 297-293-295-885. Go led the Pirates with a 3-over-par, 70-70-73-213. Current Pirates, Nagai and Yeom, also competed, finishing at 13-over-par and 20-over-par respectively.

Seton Hall will return to New Jersey for an old staple, the Princeton Invitational, April 7-8, at Springdale Golf Club. Last year, The Hall claimed the team title by five strokes over Harvard with a 1-over-par, 296-281-276-853. Go won the individual title with a 9-under-par, 69-65-70-204. Chalk recorded his first career-top-5 finish, tying for fifth at 2-over-par. Yeom was one stroke behind Chalk at 3-over-par, and Nagai finished at 10-over-par. The Pirates are competing in this event for the sixth straight year. The Hall also won the Princeton Invitational in 1994.

The following week, the Pirates will head to Penn State University for the Rutherford Intercollegiate, April 14-15, for three rounds. It will be the fifth time in the last six years that Seton Hall has competed in this event. Last spring, The Hall tied for fourth place with a 27-over-par, 304-291-284-879. Go placed third at even-par to lead the team. Yeom finished seventh at 3-over-par, while Nagai shot 13-over-par and Chalk was 15-over-par. The Pirates' best effort came in 2014 when they placed second at 20-over-par.

Finally, Seton Hall seek its third conference title with the 2018 BIG EAST Championship, April 29-May 1. For a fifth straight season, each conference team will compete at Callawassie Island Golf Club in Okatie, S.C. Last year, the Pirates came closer to a team victory than they have since their last title in 2000, falling by only one stroke to Marquette. The Hall finished with a 36-over-par, 304-299-297-900, to place second, one stroke ahead of Georgetown. Go and Nagai tied for second place among all individual golfers with a 2-over-par, 218.

FYI this is a very nice public track if anyone is ever down in the South Florida area, and very reasonable. I think greens fees are like $45. They have 27 holes
