Was there a reason for this. Or just false advertisement on the tip time so Fox could sell more ads?

This happens every single time there’s a 6:30 game before the 8:30 game.
Was just going to say this. I never come at 8:30 for this game. It starts at 8:45 like clockwork.

Why does this stuff bother anybody? Nothing else to bitch about? Only at Seton Hall ... By the way, great game by the Pirates.
They probably also welcomed the extra 15 minutes because the turnaround time was shorter than usual today. Didn’t the Devils start at 2? That was REALLY cutting it close.
Not only at Seton Hall. Just be transparent. They’re not fooling anybody at this point.
No. 8:45 was planned. The tip is almost always planned and goes off as scheduled. People don’t show up on time (security/ingress has a lot to do with it, but regardless, you plan for it).
The Creighton game earlier this year started at noon, went to 3OT and the Devils game still started on time at 7 PM (724 puck drop - it’s almost like everyone does the thing this thread is needlessly complaining about…)
That was a 7 hour difference on scheduled start times (and in actuality way less given the 3 OT) and today was 6.5. The 15 minute late tip off had no bearing…
Not to drag this out, but I said it was welcomed, not scheduled because of it. Fox probably wanted the studio segment.
