Kadary is a more dominant player this year.

Dre may be the most improved and most consistent player in the conference this year.

Bediako is having his best season by far this year.

Dawes has played a more complete game this year (especially his mid-range shooting).

You hope that a player can make incremental improvements each year, but the first three have made significant gains

Agree on KR,DD and JB.AD is only in that league when he's hot from 3.His driblemania act turns a 30 second clock into 15.

Through good scouting, teams have taken away Dawes's step-back three-pointer.

Dawes is a more complete player at this point, earlier in the season he would have forced up a shot when he had nothing. He’s letting the game come to him now. DAW starts contributing on offense opens the door for Dawes. All 3 guards contributing makes us a very dangerous team. They feed off of each other all bringing different skill sets.

I think Dawes is playing much different this year. Last year it was a three-pointer or a drive to the hoop...nothing in between. He has effectively added that pull up in the lane and although he still does telegraph a shot with the dribbling and commits some sloppy turnovers, he is in much more control than last year.

On Dawes, I think Holloway deserves the most credit for sticking with him when basically everyone thought he should be coming off the bench. Holloway was getting killed for that, and it turned out he was right.

Said it before and will say it again, nobody wants to win as much as Dawes. Kid outworks everyone in the gym. Totally agree that Holloway deserves all the credit, he knows his guys better than anyone. He had to settle Dawes down and get him to stay in control inside the flow of the game. He still does make some boneheaded plays but definitely showing more control. How can you not pull for a kid who works this hard.

What a wild season.

**Dawes has gotten much steadier compared to the mess that was in the non-conference. I still hold my breath when he’s dribbling in a big spot though, TBH. It telegraphs trouble. That whole sequence with the sneaker last night had that feel to it early in the possession and that could’ve been a huge swing.

**The biggest key to me is that Richmond and Davis are delivering on what most of this board was projecting we needed last summer to be relevant. Both are All-BE selections. They’ve taken that next step and aside from Kadary’s soreness for 2 games, they’ve stayed healthy. Losing them for extended periods last year was huge and ruined our NCAAT chances because we had next-to-zero offense without them despite a good defense. Both were good last year, but this year they’ve been great.

**And of course, the centers have done their part. They were much more than BE-average thanks to Bediako, IMO. This guy is 3rd in the nation in OR%. In BE games he leads the league in OR% and BLK%, is 11th in EFG%, 4th in FT rate. He had some struggles during the slump against Connecticut and Creighton (um, they have elite centers…), but look what he did in the critical home wins against Butler and Villanova recently. He’s been so important to complement Richmond and Davis.

Unfortunately, we have no depth. Newsflash!! So if these guys aren’t on and it goes south like in some of the road games it gets out of control. The regular season is where the depth is needed more than postseason. One more game to survive

The guys still ragging in Dawes are really missing what’s going on. Last year Sha said he wanted Dawes to be more than just a 3 point shooter. It didn’t work so much last year, but this year the improvement in other phases of the game are obvious. Does he still make some mistakes with over dribbling, yes. But his all around game, ability to get into the lane more often plus ability to spread the floor is critical.

Dawes is vital to us. First time we beat a good team with him in single digits. His two first half 3s were huge however, and a few 3s from Khadary and Wusu and 1 from EH3, really helped.

You could see Dre was obviously hurt last year. He looks like a totally different player now. So much quicker & stronger.
Dre’s stats are incredible: 50% FG%, 84% FT% and 34% from three. Considering the degree of difficulty for most of his attempts, 50% is pretty amazing. He is so consistent from the foul line as well.

And his numbers last year were there as well:

56.3% 2PT
40.9% 3PT
86.2% FT
