Selfish Joe

Joe and Jill probably voted for Trump. Looking back I’m shocked Kamala got as many votes as she did. Time for her to put her finger down when she talks, really bugged me that she was trying to copy Barack. Dems need to start Fresh with new characters. I did see this coming only one who called Trump with over 300 electoral votes.

This is all after the fact blame game. They ran Kamala because she was on the ticket and the only candidate that could access Bidens warchest of campaign funds. They were all in on it. They went with the $. If they were so against it, why did they endorse her? Those are two powerful Dem voices. Hard for me to believe that after they talked Biden to step aside that they sat on their hands and let Biden make the call. It was about the $.

Plus I think they didn't want to look like they were overlooking someone who checked all the DEI boxes. I can't imagine ANYONE in the power group of dems who actually believed that Harris would make a good candidate or President. They had the hubris to think that they could cover for her the way they covered for Biden for 3+ years. They and their partners in legacy media failed miserably on both counts.... damaging the country in the process.

I can't disagree more with the third bullet at the top of the article, "Harris' future as the leader of the Democrats is unclear". It's pretty frickin' clear to me - no future as a leader of the Democrats at all. However, go for it if Dems really want to drag that conversation out versus finding some credible path forward.

Given the timing of when he dropped (was forced) out, the democrats were really left with no choice but to nominate Harris. There was a fair amount of pushback because she skipped the democratic process. It would have been far worse if they just picked someone else.

I’m glad they stuck with Harris in that sense. I wouldn’t be shocked if Obama and Pelosi didn’t want her, but I’d be shocked if they thought there was a path to install someone else.

The reality is that she was just a REALLY bad candidate. Obama and Pelosi likely knew that, but it was too late.

They may not have come up with a better candidate or one that would’ve beaten Trump, but not only did they ride a horrible candidate, but they damage the credibility of the party by not following any kind of nomination process with delegates. I’m sure Obama and Pelosi were already pissed at Biden for putting the party in that position.

And let’s face it, Biden was too selfish and should’ve never run for the second term. And then he stays in too long to prevent any potential candidate from getting the time and momentum.

Frankly both parties took/are taking a huge risks running older candidates out there. Trump is no spring chicken. He seems to have all his marbles (although some may have been missing from the start), but health issues happen unfortunately at advanced ages. Biden was failing for some time and the Dem leadership did nothing to stop it until it was too late. Lots of finger pointing going on and lots of bad decisions were made. Kamala never even won one delegate the last time she ran - that was telling. They chose the warchest over doing the right thing. Before that, they chose Biden and before that Hillary and had to pay millions in back door money to Bernie to bow out both times. The democratic process has not been followed in 3 elections by the Dems, why would they follow it this time around?

Now Crooked/Lying Joe pardons his son after telling the public he wouldn't. The hypocrisy is astounding. Presidents and their families are above the law.

Not surprised that he pardoned Hunter.

I was surprised that he said all along he wouldn’t.

Joe continues to add more tarnish to his reputation as he rides off into the sunset.

I remember people on this site who actually believed he wouldn’t. MSM was pushing his self righteousness, same people believed in Russia collusion and the law suits against Trump. Time to clean house.

Dems push the moral high ground arguments quite a bit. Not shocked he did, but disappointed. Hunter deserved a penalty and a blanket pardon of for anything from 2014 on is just dirty.

Joe thinks everyone is as stupid as him.Anyone with a IQ of room temperature or higher knew he would pardon Hunter. Why did he lie because that is Biden trademark.

Russian collusion, the "Ukraine call", the list goes on. And the narrative is that Trump was a "threat to democracy".

I think we now can see right through BIden and the combination of selfishness and lies.

this is what happens when you put an old guy with a personal agenda in the white house.

I really think the Biden's fell into the white house because there wasn't a better candidate at the time they could control. At the same time, the Biden's like many politically connected families were using their names to make lots of money in some legal and some questionably illegal ways. The family got caught through his mess of a son.

I would pardon my son too - no question so I can't blame Biden for doing that at all. How many times do politicians say that they are not going to do something and then do it anyway. Not news to me at all frankly.

In my world we call it enabling, Joe is also pardoning himself with the pardon of Hunter. 10% for the big guy goes away as well. Soon more family members will also be pardoned. People will go crazy when Trump pardons the peaceful protestors of Jan. 6th as well. In my opinion what Hunter did was worse than what most of these protestors did. Again I use the word most, but the media will paint it otherwise.

I wonder how anyone who could fall for this garbage can turn the same media on again and again. Had Kamala won she would have done the pardoning and Joe's little lie would never needed to happen. Most people knew it was going to happen, as Americans we have come to accept and normalized this behavior. SAD

You are being too kind to The Big Guy and family..... not many politicos' families were so entangled in suspiciously corrupt dealings. Collecting 27 million for no visible reason stinks to high heaven. I never thought they would be held accountable. I wonder how much of the pardon was intended to protect Joe himself. That 10 years of pardon for anything during that ten year period is pretty telling. Good riddance to them. I hope Trump pardons some of the people who have been caught up in Biden DOJ weaponization.... some Jan 6 folks, peaceful pro life protestors to name some.

Biden and his family are disgraceful yet. Kash Patel is a problem?

I haven't paid a lock of attention to the legal analysis, but I thought the dirty little secret about pardons is the person getting the pardon has to admit guilt to what they are being pardoned for. Pardoning for 10 years with little to no detail on what is being pardoned seems dodgy at best to hold up in court, but I'm probably wrong about that.

It’s not an admission. It’s implied that the person accepting a person wouldn’t otherwise need it, but they don’t admit guilt.

I think extending a pardon to anything is an abuse of the power, but the president’s authority is very broad here.

Patel a problem for Dems because Ray pushed their agenda and the corrupt leadership of DOJ will now be eliminated.
We're talking about Chris Wray, the guy Trump appointed, working with the Democrats and pushing their agenda?

Pretty alarming that Trump could be duped so badly by his own guy. Maybe he needs help vetting people.

Putting spies in Catholic Churches to look for terriosits, saying we don’t know if Trump was hit by a bullet may have been shrapnel and FBI issues statement saying it was a bullet two days later, taking major cities data out of comparison so crime data look not as bad which is what Dems were claiming etc Too often people appointed change their views which means vetting right at time done.

Btw Kash Patel just a fascinating professional trajectory...pace law school i guess it one ups alina habba...was a public defender in miami dade county
