Good decision.
Too good for the NIT, but not good enough for the NCAA tournament. Ok.
I understand where the kids and coaches are coming from but do not agree. If I were a player I would want to the season never to end. As a coach I would want players that want to play forever.
Now that Felt outlined just how much the kids went through with 3x a week Covid testing at 6 and 7 am, and the isolation from families, I could not agree more with not going to Texas and more Covid protocols. No issue with this at all.

CBI was always scraps at best anyway. I didn’t think they were even holding that this season.CBI in Daytona is truly scraps
I thought Xavier was desperately trying to add games. 😉
I want kids that want to play a pickup game in the park if they have to. Kids that want to compete no matter who the competition is.If I'm a coach, why would I want my players to participate in a meaningless tournament that no one takes seriously or offers any respect to anymore? Why would I risk any one of my players developing a serious injury and putting next season in jeopardy? Why would I want my kids subjected to multiple COVID tests every week, isolated from friends and family, etc for any more time than is necessary?

Maybe you didn’t see my 1st post saying I understand the decision, I just don’t agree with it. It is just my opinion and I am entitled to it. To further my opinion- although the kids and coaches have been through a lot - passing up on the NIT seem a little soft. What about giving them a break after months of isolation and constant testing?

People call it the Not Invited Tournament.prob best to skip, but the players didnt want to compete?

Go buy urself a team.I want kids that want to play a pickup game in the park if they have to. Kids that want to compete no matter who the competition is.
nope. they dont want to compete. My only issue is the restrictions in Texas were recently eliminated. Any restrictions would be imposed by the schoolnot the state. This team needs to learn a winners mentality. Could have been good for the underclassmen
That's pathetic. I know this is going to get me in trouble buuuuut, these are gen z'ers. Supposed to be tougher than participation trophy millennials.nope. they dont want to compete.
