Are you saying that sarcastically or is there a specific starting lineup when everyone is healthy that you would to see?Not true at all about he tried every starting lineup.
I don't know (nor can anyone). I just know I don't like the entrenching of a narrative that it's all about the players he acquired, not what he has done with them. Accountability and changes are needed for both.Feels like splitting hairs but I agree he’s had a bad coaching year. He’s frustrated and it shows in how he’s coaching the team, IMO. I think the team has underperformed at 6-13, 1-7, but what’s the high-water point? 10-9, 3-5 with this group?
Agree. Willard lost to St Peters and FDU in a season, but this season is beyond bad is right.Look, I get it. Bad seasons happen. But this is beyond that with losses to 0-8 Monmouth and bad Fordham…
And the year before that they were 3-15 in BE play and roster was young or lacked top talent.Agree. Willard lost to St Peters and FDU in a season, but this season is beyond bad is right.
and it might cause him to jump ship. i suspect he'll give next year a complete redo. and if money is an issue again he'll leave. and it wont matter for us. this season was rock bottom and nobody is going to come in and light the world on fire.Well it’s his record. I’m sure he didn’t want or anticipate going 3 seasons with 0 NCAAT appearances and having an overall losing BE record given the program he inherited that had 6/7 NCAAT and a streak of winning BE years with 2 tittles. Times also changed it’s not entirely on him but he owns this mess of a team.
And while the NIT was a nice consolation prize, he’s now overseeing our worse season by every measurable since maybe 1983?
This is hitting him for those who think it’s not.
maybe the simple answer is that what the coaches are saying is true.I have never seen so many coaches come to Shaheens defense as this year.....its very weird.
They are all like, "Yeah Sseton Hall is terrible but that Shaheen Holloway is a great coach." How they look at the product and conclude that I have no idea.
I would do the same thing though if I was in competition against an obviously overmatched coach who has no media savvy and obviously can't generate any NIL.... HE is doing THE BEST JOB possible Seton Hall would be crazy to get rid of him he is such a great coach!!
maybe, just maybe, we have no money. is that really that hard to grasp?Maybe they like the fact that they now have 2 guaranteed wins every year?? Or is it a case of professional courtesy?
He makes $2.5 million per year, hasn’t made a tournament, and is overseeing the tanking of our program (we can debate all day if that’s his fault or not…not the point). Unless he is looking for a pay cut or life back in the mid majors, he’s not “jumping ship.”and it might cause him to jump ship. i suspect he'll give next year a complete redo. and if money is an issue again he'll leave. and it wont matter for us. this season was rock bottom and nobody is going to come in and light the world on fire.

Unfortunately, I don't see Coleman returning. I'd imagine he could get at least Seton Hall money at another "school" that has better post-season prospects.Because he knows they’re not coming back next year..
There’s a realistic chance the only player on the this roster next year is Coleman.
No I was serious. There are many combinations of starting lineups that were never put on the court. Here is one as an example. Are you saying that sarcastically or is there a specific starting lineup when everyone is healthy that you would to see?
I can see Pitino grabbing him quickly for the Johnnies next year.Unfortunately, I don't see Coleman returning. I'd imagine he could get at least Seton Hall money at another "school" that has better post-season prospects.
This is exactly it.For fans and brand exposure it matters…we don’t want to be the new DePaul like gtown was for the past few years.
at the end of the day, Sha sucked this season, I think he would admit it too.
What % of blame is our limited NIL fund and what is on the coach and staff? that’s up for debate tho.
My opinion is Sha sucking is at least 35% of the problem….we lost to teams with a fraction of our NIL or similar NILs (Butler). This is year 3 under Sha with zero ncaas, and his first with ALL his own hand picked players.
Its not all on the SHU NIL/admin like the media and big east coaches portray. It’s both.
It doesn’t have to be mutually exclusive, both things can be true.
sha sucked this year - absolutely yes
Sha is a good coach and not on hot seat yet- yes
Our admin sucked the past few years handling NIL - god yes
Our admin had an uphill job with small donor pool and a poorly timed practice faculty initiative -yes
The media and coaches incorrectly blanket statement that SHU sucks bc it’s just NIL funds -yes
The majority of our players didn’t live up to their potential -yes
coaching staff did a horrendous job putting our team in a position to succeed -yes
