Supreme Court Leak

Kinda interesting that the dems the party of segragation based on the principle of states rights now opposed to states deciding abortion rules.Brown Vs Broad.of Education now in danger per that ignorant jackass Joy Behar.

i use the term "it" . because it is an it.

is it living? idk what constitutes that? (courts decided this) is it a being? or an organism as shu09 explained it. we kill organisms every day.

Doctors check the baby's heartbeat in the mother's womb . So the baby has a heartbeat but is not living? Is that correct? The baby is consuming food in the mothers body. But the baby is not living? You can feel the baby move inside the womb. But the baby is not living?

Baffling how we can worry so much about trees, and it's inhumane to treat animals the way we do, yet abortion is no big deal.

Yeah, I agree with that. But some states already have a ban in place at 6 weeks. Oklahoma just did yesterday. More will follow without the legal hurdle or Roe.
I haven't done an inventory by state. Was the six week in OK on the books before Roe?

Assuming it's overturned, it will be interesting to watch, but it's already a political football seeing how the language is red hot. Warren was literally screaming last night in an interview.

Almost 1 million abortions per year. How can so many uncaring women not use protection when having sex.Margaret Sanger founded Planned Parenthood to encourage black womem to have abortions since she was a racist and wanted to eliminate as many black babies being born as possible. Planned Parenthood today I believe does the most abortions of any organization so although not racists like Sanger they have continued to be in the forefront of letting women kill as many babies as needed and to paraphrase that well known good catholic Joe Biden if you are not pro choice you are not a democrat.

is a heart required for an organism to be alive? science says a resounding no. it is for a human, along with other things it isnt doing yet

Nobody "needs" it unless their life is in danger from a pregnancy complication.
or quality of life for the child is bad. not just physical illness/ issues but also mental. and rapes. there are many areas where its acceptable or even encouraged.

biden has been making this an issue about privacy

Didn't realize you were woke. Disappointing.
im not woke. im not right or left. this isnt about being woke. this isnt over the top and in fact involves principles pushed by the anti-woke, which i stated.

what is the opposite spectrum of woke? do we have a term for that yet? thats what im against too.

Just throwing some potentially relevant questions out to ponder...and I honestly don't know the answer...maybe someone does. Would a case of assault against a pregnant woman that results in a miscarriage be considered murder or manslaughter? If so, how old does the fetus have to be to carry that charge? The law should be consistent, so I'm just wondering if there's any sort of precedent for defining an unborn child as alive and capable of being killed by someone other than the mother/a doctor.

Yes, and according to SHUSA, we should dismiss those 42% of woman who care about the rights of the unborn child because they are essentially racist white men.....
great those women dont have to get abortions (or vaccinations)

that number is highly skewed 65+. could be considered wise of course. could also be considered a dying opinion by those who are farthest removed from the situation.

its a good question but doesnt address the grey area of the fetus creation, ownership, and physical dependance on the mother. thats the one issue that will never be solved.

Well here is a question for all of you who don't realize the upcoming shit show that is going to happen. Consider this, woman get pregnant in a state that has now abolished abortion. She then tries to leave the state to go to another state to get the abortion. Some man, may or may not be the father tries to get an injunction to prevent her from having an abortion and brings it up on behalf of the unborn baby.

Don't you all see this shit show happening?

All thanks to an over litigious society in general. People go to the courts for everything.

"I'm not woke," says the guy who said this:
the geography that has a history (and present) hating black people, immigrants, women, gays, etc. but will fight for the right of a 0-12wk organism inside someones body. but if that fetus turns into someone who may need help from tax payer dollars then f em!! theyre ruining the country!!

how many years go by until we can call a spade a spade?

LOL!

what about that is woke? im just recognizing a prominant pattern in history. funny that is so identifiable again.

You generalized an entire region of the country and said they "hate" blacks, gays, women and immigrants. Not even close to being true, but a line straight out of the woke/identity politics playbook.

i said that geography has a history of that yes. and its supported. not everyone by any means. but the voting majority which is what i should have been more specific about.

i would generalize the northern progressive cities as hating certain freedoms as weve seen in the pst few years. also a pattern. but the one issue theyre on board with is somehow being highly contested. and that makes no sense to me so the above is the conclusion i come to.

anyway, no point to jabber about viewpoint (the board always trends one way on these topics)

i live in pennsylvania and wonder how this will affect voting. its always 50/50 here

You have a viewpoint?

Reminds me of an old joke...What do you call 1,000 lawyers at the bottom of the ocean? Answer: Justice
If you are going to tell a joke, please tell it right. The punch line is. " A good start." Hall85 likes to fancy himself as someone who is funny.

Your Uncle Joe Biden refers to it as a child.

"The idea that we're going to make a judgment that is going to say that no one can make the judgment to choose to abort a child"

With regard to the previous post about fetal laws, it highlights that we are a United collection of 50 states.

I see no need for the federal government to insert itself into this. Let the states decide for themselves.

The federal government has become too large and too powerful.

Are you going to feel the same way when the Republicans have the House, the Senate and the Presidency and the pass a law to abolish abortion throughout the land?

Because that’s the next step.

No it’s not. That would have no chance of happening.

Abolish the filibuster??

Nah what the republicans should do is tell companies that have more than 100 people that they can’t have workers who had an abortion. similar to the if you don’t share my beliefs on a vaccine that doesn’t prevent you from getting the virus, we will take away your livelihood. That would be the classy way to go about it.

A ridiculous statement on all accounts.

Oh do tell why? I have heard the moral argument that abortion is murder from out of the people on this board. If so, and that is your belief, then the rational and logical conclusion to that belief is to abolish in all the land.

Because you hear what you want in your personal echo chamber. Yes

Someone on the left is publishing the addresses of 5 SCOTUS justices who failed to reverse Mississippi law limiting abortion to 15 weeks.I just hope when the mob goes to their homes they don’t burn them down or hurt the justice.I think Maxine Watters would be against injuring the justices, but Antifa will leave all options on the table. The left moral superiority coupled with a president saying magna movement greatest threat in history..Really Joe a greater threat than the KKK whose former member Harry Bird
you euologised.

Instead of deflecting, answer the question why is it impossible?
Not deflecting. I think most on the pro life side would suggest that any future decision should be left up to the states.

Great point. I've been hearing from pro-abortionists who say this decision would lead to the government telling you what to do with your body. Were they asleep for the last two years?
