Surprised to see a poll today giving Biden only a one point lead in Ohio: 45% to 44%. Considering the disastrous several weeks that Trump has endured, this news doesn't bide well for Biden. I mean, can things go any worse for Trump between now and November?
Don't see him carrying Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Arizona this time, though.

Ohio has been trending deeper red since 2012 I think? That poll actually shows that Biden has gained ground compared to the last few elections. I said in another thread I don’t see Biden winning though. That’s ok bc the other states you mentioned plus Florida, NC and maaaaaaaybe Georgia are now in play. Polls shows Dems gaining ground steadily in Texas every two years also, but it’s not truly there yet imo.

The real issue though is how much voter suppression occurs. The polls look great right now and may stay that way, but the right is clearly gonna deploy all their typical tactics that have consistently been using since the Supreme Court invalidated the key part of the Voting Rights Act in 2013.

I wonder when the fever will break amongst the rank & file that want to protect their seats. There’s a magic # in the polls where you’ll see them start to crack & break away from that pig. For now, all these cynical reactionaries appear to be going down w/the ship bc they’re afraid of the MAGA base turning on them. How low do his numbers have to dip? All along, my wife has felt he'd opt not to run, saying (Trump saying...) that he has accomplished everything. I agree with Tom K that if he drops out, and if the nominee is Pence, perhaps, Republicans have a better chance. You'd see Collins, Graham, Murkowski, Little Mario, and others jump off the bandwagon so quickly they would break their ankles. Who would not vote for Pence who planned to vote for Trump? And many more moderates might come on board. On the other hand, the excitement level that Dynamic Mike would generate just might make some folks forget election day is in early November.

Explain this to me, why were black people waiting in 4 hour lines to vote in Atlanta? A Democrat stronghold...I don't know enough about voting operations. If it's a Democrat held area, are they not the ones in charge of procedure at the voting station?
