Weather is Political

Mikie is gonna have a strong campaign and backing
Mikie is a former Blue Dog (are there any left??) who has gone left and based her last win almost exclusively on abortion. If she were still a student at the Naval Academy during her last campaign..... she would have been expelled for honor violations the way she lied about her opponent's statements and positions. She played the abortion card the way most dems do.

https://www.who.int/news/item/02-03...revalence-of-anxiety-and-depression-worldwide

You used to talk about the upcoming "daunting" amount of suicide deaths... but suicides after Covid were about the same is before Covid.
I'd agree that Isolation in theory is bad... I just think that for the most part, people adapted and then moved on. Not seeing evidence of collateral damage that you have referred to here many times.

Just as much as you did when you said that no one defending the DOE speaks volumes.

I'm not going to defend the department of education because I don't agree with everything they do... though I think what's lost here so far is that the department of education did not start because our educational system was great. It started because we were failing. I'd certainly argue that education in the US is better today than it was in the 70's. Test scores would generally support that, but I wouldn't argue that we could not have done better.
But it’s outlived it’s usefulness.

https://blog.prepscholar.com/average-sat-scores-over-time

Test scores virtually unchanged since formation of the DOE.

Not really. Any time anything questions if it was possible, they usually get something wrong.
Like the design of the car where Kennedy would be sitting higher and to the left of Connelly, or that Connolly was in fact turned to the right and not straight forward. The physics of the bullet hitting Connolly also would have been different if it had not been slowed by going through Kennedy first.

Three bullets were fired, the first missed, Connolly turned towards the sound and the 2nd shot hit both of them. The third killed Kennedy.
Sorry a bullet that hits 2 people and comes out only slightly altered from it's original state doesn't make sense adding on the film shows the head going back and to the left which isn't common for a bullet coming from behind.

Doubling down on not understanding something so it must be fake… research what that bullet would look like after going through soft tissue.

Also, the idea that there is a conspiracy but they don’t consider what a bullet would look like afterwards is pretty silly.

you can trace the bullet in the camera stills after it hit him. It goes forward.

That’s talking about the first year of the pandemic, when millions around the world were dying. Of course depression and anxiety would increase during that time.

That has nothing to do with the situation today and if there are any lasting impacts from the period of time where people were isolating.
But there’s been a long term hangover. That’s the first article I came across. Anyone in healthcare will tell you that. It’s still a problem.

Pretty silly to believe all things when the autopsy was completely botched, over 100 witnesses and investigators went missing and seeing how easily Oswald was killed by a guy who said there would be fireworks that day.

At some point it would show up somewhere in a data or a study. College students are showing decent improvement in mental health.

I didn’t say you have to believe everything. You just posted a couple of the crazier points.

One bullet could absolutely have gone through two people and come out with minimal damage to the bullet.

The bullet that hit Kennedy in the head absolutely came from behind.

That doesn’t mean that Oswald acted alone, or there is no broader conspiracy there. I have no idea. The multiple shooters is a flawed argument especially if you think one was in front of Kennedy.

But it is…

Even the link you cited showed that the improvements have been modest. Here’s a link that is more inclusive.

“Clinical depression had been slowly rising in the U.S. prior to the COVID-19 pandemic but has jumped notably in its wake. Social isolation, loneliness, fear of infection, psychological exhaustion (particularly among front-line responders such as healthcare workers), elevated substance abuse and disruptions in mental health services have all likely played a role. While experiences of significant daily loneliness have subsided in the past two years amid widespread vaccinations and a slow return to normalcy, elevated loneliness experiences during the pandemic likely played a substantive role in increasing the rates of the longer-term, chronic nature of depression. Currently, 17% of U.S. adults report experiencing significant loneliness “yesterday,” projecting to an estimated 44 million people.”

Mikie is a disgrace. Pretended to be middle of the road in order to get elected originally, now showing her true leftist colors after they gerrymandered her district in her favor.

You fool. You fell victim to one of the classic blunders - the most famous of which is "never get involved in a land war in Asia" - but only slightly less well-known is this: Never go in a conspiracy whatabout hole with shuhoopsfan unless you have loads of time.

Don't you have better things to do?

Can you expand on that a bit?
I don't follow her closely enough so I'm ignorant to the criticisms against her.

+1 for one of the best quotes from one of the greatest movies of all time.

and yes... lol

Can't make it up, the director of that movie has a podcast where he names 4 people involved with killing JFK.

I think it is more likely than not that there was a broader conspiracy to kill him.
The idea of shooters are different angles do not line up with the facts. Kennedy was shot twice, both from the angle of six floor of the depository building. If you want to say there were multiple shooters in there, or there were other shooters waiting in case the first one missed. I don't care to argue those points.

Your guy says the shots that hit him didn't come from the 6th floor and that Parkland doctors disagree it came from the 6th floor as well many forensic doctors disagree. He must be tripling down on not understanding.

Correct, he is wrong. He's famous so he gets airtime, but he's wrong.
I gave you a link to a very in depth study on the physics of the shot that killed Kennedy. You should read it.

Our of curiosity though, what shape is the earth? Have we been to the moon?

I'll recommend you watch the documentary what the doctors saw. Literally the first press conference by the doctor said it was an entrance wound in the neck and never again was that repeated despite the doctors still to this day believing that to be true, yet supposedly he changed his mind. LOL

Out of curiosity, how's the 81st round of booster shots going?

Perry didn't even see the wound in the back! But he's the smoking gun to you? When you only see one hole, you're going to assume its an entrance. Being shot in the neck on an upward trajectory means the bullet would have had to have gone through the front of the car.... Obviously Perry would not have had access to that information at the time to make a determination. He saw one hole and made an assumption.
Science has then since proven that he got it wrong.

I had one booster shot, and I suppose it went well. Thanks.
Just here enjoying life on this spinning sphere around the sun, and waiting for the moon to come up which we have definitely landed on, right?

Dr. McClelland was told by Dr. Perry he was threatened because of what he said and had to move out of Texas. Dr. McClelland disagrees that the second bullet came from behind. He believes the bullet came from the picket fence in front of the motorcade. I guess all of the doctors were wrong and the government was right and so you believe their theories because it's all built around what they said happened.

Only one booster, why did you stop following the science?

Neil and Buzz said we were there, I have no reason to not believe them. Just like I believe the doctors who were on site in 1963 over what anyone else says.

At this point, nearly 61 years later, I find it crazy that some people actually still believe the official account of the JFK assassination. Nearly every piece of evidence points to entities and individuals other than Lee Harvey Oswald.

Actually let the science shape my view. Initially, the science showed the vaccine lasted longer and also helped prevent giving it others.

Once the virus mutated, immunity didn’t last as long and you can pass it to others more quickly. My reasons for getting it initially didn’t apply anymore.

I let the best available science guide my opinion.
Just like the science showing that the bullets which hit Kennedy came from behind.

As I said, it’s more likely than not that there was a conspiracy involved and plenty that we don’t know.

You can believe the overall conspiracy without having to believe the things that are clearly not true. The bullets came from behind, and trajectories line up with the official story. Much easier to buy into the theory that Oswald was a CIA operative than multiple shooters hitting him from different angles.

🤣 You let the science given to you by the government control your view. They had no clue, at first we didn’t need masks then we couldn’t go anywhere without them. John Legend just told all of us the CDC wants us to get another shot. They gotta have the best science right?

Maybe you should let the science done by Coca Cola shape your view on soda. It’s a health drink.

I generally don’t trust the government. I do generally trust the scientific community.
My posts on Covid were not always 100% correct but certainly help up better than all of the people here downplaying the potential impact of the virus and overstating the side effects of the vaccine.

Also, we’ve discussed health and impacts from diet here many times and agreed on a decent amount. Childish to suggest that I would listen to Coca Cola just because you’re mad that there is a physics problem in assuming JFK wasn’t shot from behind.

Please… search jfk bullet trajectory, you can go find plenty of articles and videos from scientists who say it couldn’t be done. And you’ll respond they’re all wrong based on what the government showed. Scientists who’ve studied it, doctors at Parkland who saw the body, and anyone else who doesn’t believe the government is wrong. Lol

Literally posted a non government peer reviewed study on the physics involved. You didn’t read it.

It’s not about trusting the government.
I don’t trust the government on the JFK story.

I do trust the physics and data modeling which shows where the shots came from.

I haven’t studied bullet trajectories which is secondary to me. Enough evidence that suggests it was not Oswald acting alone. JFK made a lot of enemies (similar to Trump in that way), organized crime and Cuba at the top of the list. Putting out a failed hit on Castro put a target on him.

conspiracies are simple answers to complicated questions so it's no wonder that all the pea brains eat them up and no wonder those pea brains love donald trump who only speaks at a 4th grade reading level and farts conspiracies every half hour.

I want your account of what happened. What members of the cia, fbi and his own administration and the military industrial complex set this up. Why dallas?

Agree. It’s fine to believe there is more to it.

Unfortunately this ridiculous conversation started because someone wanted to validate what MTG was saying by using the theory that one bullet couldn’t have possibly hit JFK and Connolly and come out with minor damage.

The conspiracy doesn’t require a 2nd shooter taking a shot, and if you do look into it, its clear where the shots came from.

It's a pretty popular case. There's many physicists who agree and many more who don't agree, so who do you trust? At the same time you disagree with every doctor who saw things first hand. You take the government's facts, the entity with the most to lose by saying it was an inside job, and use them to prove the theory they put on the American people. Brilliant.
