My daughter is a Holy Cross grad and I also know the place. With Carmody as a candidate, KW would never have been an option. Much better pedigree and coaching record.
If KW actually did get an interview, it had to be out of courtesy because of his Dad.

ok, I am sorry. It turns out over the last couple years, the Patriot League has started to offer scholarships - the facts over the Holy Cross' and Patriot League institutional self-perception vis a vis Princton and the Ivy League are unchanged.
Google "Patriot League scholarships Ivy League," and you'll get plenty of facts and context on how these two leagues compete directly. Heck, the first lines on the Patriot League wiki entry are enough:

The narrative and drivers don't change because recently the Patriots decided to formally give scholarships. Truthfully, the Ivies have a curious way of coming up with "financial aid packages" that are in effect scholarships.

Just for the record, I looked it up.
Turns out the Patriots were historically non scholarship but in recent years have started to give scholarships in basketball and football. Even then not all football programs though give scholarships.
Most sports however are are still non scholarship.

Don't any of you have a sense of just how low you have stooped? Another post stated that Ajou was a wasted schollie. You have nothing to base that on. If your names were attached to your posts you would never type the things you have. Lack of real facts doesn't impede any of you. Look in the mirror. Actually, Pat Lyons knows me personally. Actually, I've talked with Dr Esteban multiple times. Actually - my name is well known. I have connections to the university that are very well-defined. And I stand behind my opinions expressed here. I am not a message board coward and I know so many of the others here personally - meeting them at events over the years. We are not hiding. We have spoken forcefully and directly with the same language used here.
