That was a good win. Who knows what'll happen in the Big East, but at least we'll have one thing to hang out hat on in the OOC portion. A loss today and we were playing for the NIT. I know some disagree, but it was that important; we'd have been out of it by Christmas.
DUNK THE BALL. Worst case scenario you you get fouled. Either way, better than the weak layup attempts. How many layups can we possibly miss?
Completely true. We would have another weak resume with no top 50 wins. If we beat USF, that's 50% of what you need for a bid.
If we went 9-9 in conference, we can at least make the argument for a bid in March. If we go 10-8, I think we are definitely in. If we do 8-10 or worse, its another lost season.
Terrible decision to start Ish & keep him in for 7 mins. Need offense.
That's what I said to Stu Jackson at halftime and he absolutely agreed.A lot of missed opportunities. Down 8 isn't terrible considering. You're right could be worse, but score should be closer. Wichita was lights out from 3 until toward the end of the half.
Thank God you're not the coach because you simply do not know the game!He plays one on one & it's annoying. I'm sorry but Ish is not a great defender at least not today. Put Nezi in!!!!
Some huge defensive plays were ignored. IW made that great block of the layup, Desi blocking Baker and recovering the ball, great steal by Derrick, and a few great plays by Ish coming up with the ball. These were all in the last 6-8 minutes and turned around the game and electrified the Rock. Ish, three steals, DG, three steals, KC 2 steals, IW, 2 steals and 4 BS. That is the stuff that will take us there if we go anywhere. We talk of our TOs all day and ignore the fact that we caused possibly the best back court in the nation to turn it over 11 times by themselves.Fair enough, but it just seems like the observations are tinged with constant negativity when we don't know yet how the game will turn out. But ok, I get it. Could have used a few more fannies in the seats though.
