Liberal States

That's how big money works. They're looking out for themselves. Clearly this is a man who likes to invest and not sit on his money for himself. So the more he makes the more he's looking for opportunities to invest which creates jobs.

Just saying the anti blue state argument doesn't really hold water here. Higher taxes and more regulations were always a part of blue states when there were economic booms. That doesn't mean hire taxes and regulations are always good just that each state needs to manage what is right for them.

You would need to look at what each state is doing. Like in NJ with the digital media tax credit, Christie let it expire but Murphy added it back to create the incentive for TV shows / movies etc. to be filmed in NJ which ultimately helped us get the Netflix deal done. That will create thousands of jobs and bring billions to the state. It's not a red/blue issue. It's more of a leadership issue. If there was no growth in NJ and we weren't doing anything to help attract business then that would be a problem with the leadership of the state.

Another Professional team at Pru Center

It just seems like there's very little wiggle room at the Prudential Center, which has a quite a full schedule to begin with. There certainly are days we never play there, like Mondays. But if Fox ever wanted to do a Big Monday, we would be possibly limited.

Our schedule is set.
They are asking for 2 days per month. It's really not that big of a deal.
If they start to give them preference in future years, it will be because we're not pulling a crowd at all. Like 3-4k per game.
I'm not that worried about that unlikely scenario.

In America, merit seems to be giving way to DEI concerns too. I know you like that, Merge.

They’ve had a women’s pro hockey team there before. Absolutely no big deal.

Slow Day So Here's a Top 10 List

Myles Powell and Markus Howard were the very poor mans version of Magic and Bird so they need to be right next to each other. If I am not mistaken Powell and the Pirates mostly got the best of them so would give Powell the nod for better player.

Whitehead used to out play Dunn and Whiteheads team won the Big East therefore I would put him over Dunn.

That is just talking seton hall. I think there are a lot of good players that have been overlooked.
Damned right!! SHU talking!

The MQ BET game when the staff thought Myles was kicked out for two Ts was one of the most fun games I ever saw. When he came back to the bench, MSG went wild. Lots of MQ fans were I was sitting and it was getting kinda edgy. Was wishing Prof ed was with me lol! Myles shoulda been BET MVP his Jr year and Markus his Sr yr. But at least both got one award.

I'd think we would be higher in the pecking order, and our schedule is set so shouldn't impact us.

If a woman's hockey team starts to outdraw us in the future, then we're in serious trouble as a program.

Does anybody know how to play the game

I don't watch a lot of baseball anymore but follow the Yanks closely. The base running in major league baseball is atrocious. Especially the Yankees base running (see Gleyber Torres on the bases - ugh). Terrific play by Wells who may be the answer to the Yankees long search for a catcher since Posada - love that kid.

Also great play by Chisolm who is just learning how to play third base. Bonehead play by the runner. Really dumb but it happens night in and night out in the MLB now. Players are too interested in their look and making gestures to the dugout instead of focusing on the game. Base running isn't that hard and I also blame the coaching for not feeling like they can get in these prima-donna players faces when they make these mistakes. Earl Weaver and Billy Martin would have been screaming at the dude as he entered the clubhouse. In extras that could have caused the Mariners the game for sure.

CBA XC is the most successful HS sports program in the nation.

I say that with no facts. But they are amazing. NJ has the Meet of Champs, all great teams and runners in NJ participate. In a recent year (as Jerry notes) , CBA had scheduled an out of state meet for the same day as the NJ MOC. Their second team won. That is remarkable. Like your 2nd team winning the TOC.

One of my sons was a good runner so I saw a lot of meets for those 4 years. They churned out great runner after great runner. And the times the kids are running these days is amazing.

Wow Woj goes back to college

The position is "'entry-level, behind the scenes, and exempt from overtime." I was wondering where these "GM" positions would fall in the athletic department hierarchy. From what it sounds like it's almost like an assistant coach or director of basketball operations level position that takes some of the pressure off the HC in recruiting and coordinating NIL.
