- The Seton Hall men's basketball team returns to Prudential Center on Wednesday for a 6:30 p.m. contest against Butler on FS1.
- The Pirates will look to avenge a five-point loss to the Bulldogs at Hinkle Fieldhouse back on 1/15/25.
- Seton Hall was down three starters by the end of Sunday's loss at DePaul as Scotty Middleton, Dylan Addae-Wusu and Chaunce Jenkins have all missed time with injuries.
- Middleton, who's averaging 25.5 minutes per game in league play, went down with an ankle injury in the first half against the Blue Demons and did not return.
- The Pirates were also without Addae-Wusu (ankle) and Jenkins (knee), the latter of which missed his fourth straight game, giving The Hall just nine active scholarship players.
- Isaiah Coleman has come into his own in conference play where he trails only Villanova's Eric Dixon and Creighton's Ryan Kalkbrenner in scoring averaging 18.5 points per game against BIG EAST foes.
- Coleman returned to form in the loss at DePaul where he scored a game-high 18 points with four rebounds and three steals.
- Coleman also ranks 12th in the conference averaging 5.8 rebounds per game and 10th shooting 78 percent from the line against BIG EAST foes.
- Coleman is one of only four Pirates since 1988 to score at least 15 points in the first five BIG EAST games of the season joining Mark Bryant (1987-88), Terry Dehere (1992-93) and Myles Powell (2019-20).
- Coleman has scored in double-figures in 12 of his last 14 games and five of those outputs were 20-point performances against BIG EAST teams.
- Prince Aligbe tied his career highs with 19 points in 33 minutes in the loss against Providence on 1/28.
- Aligbe has registered nine double-figure scoring games this season after arriving at The Hall with just 12 double-figure scoring games in two seasons at Boston College.
- Aligbe has scored in double-digits in six of Seton Hall's last eight games.
- Seton Hall's recent struggles have not been helped by a rash of injuries to its backcourt with Chaunce Jenkins missing the last four games with a knee injury.
- After a bounce back performance at Butler with 21 points and four assists, Jenkins suffered an injury in the second half against St. John's and has not played since.
- The Pirates are 4-2 on the season when Chaunce Jenkins is their leading scorer.
- Dylan Addae-Wusu has missed four of the last six games dealing with foot and ankle injuries.
- Addae-Wusu, who scored 13 points and tallied four steals against Providence on 1/28, is the Pirates' second-leading scorer in BIG EAST play (12.3 ppg) and leads the team in assists (3.0 apg).
- Addae-Wusu went over 400 career assists on against the Friars and he now has 1,000 career points, 400 assists and 200 steals.
- Addae-Wusu trails only Creighton's Ryan Kalkbrenner for the most career BIG EAST games played among active players with 85.
- After struggling from the free throw line through the first month of the season, Seton Hall has bounced back since the start of conference play shooting 73 percent (172-of-236) from the stripe.
- Stepping up in a time of need in the Seton Hall backcourt, Garwey Dual has shown signs of improvement over the last four games where he has averaged 8.6 points,4.0 assists and 3.2 steals in 32.2 minutes per game.
- Seton Hall ranks third in the BIG EAST in bench scoring averaging 22.2 points per game.
- According to KenPom, the Pirates rank 11th in Div. I in bench minutes (42.2 pct.)
