Meet the Mets

IIRC when the Phillies signed Turner, their thinking was at some point sooner than later, he and Stott would switch positions. I believe the other possibility discussed with Turner (even going back to his Nats days) was a move to center field.

I don't see a ton of the Phillies but I am surprised to see that Turner is as poor defensively as he rates. I've always thought of him to be solid.

Bottom line. Enjoy him for the next decade.
being the worst fielder on the phillies is a really really hard thing to do. Castellanos i think has worse rankings but shortstop can't be hidden 90% of the time as seen by his team leading errors.

Meet the Mets

This is true. He's been a big disappointment in the field. He turns the double play nicely, though.

This is the one Phillies contract I sort of regret (aside from Taijuan Walker, which is obvious). Trea is still a terrific hitter, but I can't see a guy with his frame hitting like that for most of the contract. It'll be interesting to see how Aiden Miller develops, since they seem set on him at shortstop. I'd love someone to push Trea to second base, but then they'd have to spin off Stott (who is about as good as you can bet at second) for something.

FEMA

Not getting it wrong. Maybe YOU need to do some reassessment. You just denied that Fema money was misused when actually said that in your original post.

Again…. FEMA did NOT use FEMA money to pay for the DHS programs. The DHS used FEMA to process DHS funds. It’s like getting a refund from Samsung in the form of a check from Citibank. Citibank isn't giving you money, Samsung is. Get it?

The DHS and FEMA have both confirmed what I am saying here.

You are just buying political spin from politicians using a natural disaster for political points.

FEMA

They didn’t.

They didn’t.

He said they do have enough money for Helene, but need more for the rest of the hurricane season.

“We are meeting the immediate needs with the money that we have. We are expecting another hurricane hitting,” Mayorkas said. “FEMA does not have the funds to make it through the season.”

You’re getting all of this wrong. Reassess your news sources. They’re letting to you to make you angry.

FEMA

GOP types such as state senators from NC and maga man Kane in Knox county TN have debunked insane craziness passing on social media

Look an unfortunate natural disaster except if you are mtg took place, 1000 year event....sandy happened...i drive gsp north the tuesday after, i went to near shore communities the day after and I watched GOP types not care about the northeast corridor.

To fix this cost money, and multiple trucks of it.

FEMA

There's plenty of money, they just choose not to fund certain things. They have tons of money available for Ukraine every month, maybe they can tap into that to help out our fellow Americans instead.

It’s not either or. Something is either worth funding or it’s not. Money needs to be appropriated by congress. FEMA needs more.

No need to make this about immigrants or Ukraine. It has zero to do with anything else but FEMA needing enough funds to get through increasingly severe storms.

FEMA

Sorry... You make it sound so normal and OK that DHS used money targeted for disaster relief for something else.

They didn’t.

DHS should not have used FEMA's budget for any other purpose.

They didn’t.

Why did Mayorkas come out and sound like a complete moron saying they have no money for Helene and any future disaster.

FEMA

No, obviously not true. You just fell for some political talking point nonsense.

FEMA has a budget. DHS has a separate budget and they directed FEMA to process shelter payments which are not a part of the FEMA budget.

If you’re all for increasing the FEMA budget to help deal with more frequent and stronger storms, by all means… please contact those who vote against increasing the budget.
Sorry... You make it sound so normal and OK that DHS used money targeted for disaster relief for something else. That's not a political talking point..... that's misuse of funds. Tell the people of Ashville, NC that it's a political talking point. FEMA did absolutely no preparation for Helene. DHS should not have used FEMA's budget for any other purpose. Why did Mayorkas come out and sound like a complete moron saying they have no money for Helene and any future disaster. BS

FEMA

FEMA out of money????? If I'm not mistaken, $$'s allocated to FEMA are for a specific purpose .. to be available to help US citizens during crises like hurricanes and the like...... NOT for resettling illegal immigrants. Someone needs to go to jail. Two months ago Mayorkas was bragging about how FEMA is ready for the hurricane season. This is a major fail for FEMA not to be poised and ready for a bad hurricane. Cannot people see the outright neglect and unconcern for those Americans suffering. What a joke.... this Biden /Harris shi! show is.
