Was something like $25 per kid and $75 per adult. In that ballpark.
People tried to equate cost to value, which is never a fruitful exercise in the NIL world.
true enough..... he lost Congress, in the 1994 mid terms and decided to work with them instead of against them. I'm sure that will be covered in the documentary.Balanced the budget. Why he got things done like Reagan is because he worked with both sides of the aisle . Unheard of today .
terrible precedent.....players will learn that if the team gets off to a good start....and needed you as a key to getting there....threaten to leave mid-season unless they pony up more money....
I have never enjoyed baseball more in decades as I have this year. Yeah, I am a Dodger fan and we have Ohtani and Mookie and Freddie and we win the NL west every year. But we bomb out early most every year in the playoffs, and with our pitching staff injuries this year, it will be a miracle if the few good starters we have can hold up over the playoffs. I have no playoff or WS expectations. And I am still like a little kid. I would stay home on a 95 degree summer day if the Dodgers were on the game of the week in the 60s, and I could have walked three blocks to the beach. Last night I was praying for the Twins to end their damned game (13 innings lol) so I could watch the end of our game with the Padres. Had MLB.com on my phone following every pitch till midnight lol. The last 2 innings made it worth the wait!!!Baseball has died on the vine a bit. The playoffs get some buzz.
*If he can hit 2 more and get to 60, would be only 3rd player to get to 60+ HR season multiple times in career, joining McGwire and Sosa. Sosa reached 60+ three times in his career.
I want door drop from the Hemi.I believe poster sami noted he has the hats and will soon work on sending them out.
I thought the event was a great idea, I just think the timing and presentation may have been less than ideal. Trying to explain to my wife that we would need to leave University Day early, tell our 4 year old to skip the pumpkin painting and then pay $175 to head down to Bunny's for a meet and greet and autos that we had gotten for free for the past 10 years just wasn't a winning proposition.
The optics of taking the players off-site and charging money on the one day of the year where it's about "pirate family" was not great. I had to pass on it, unfortunately.
I would have rather just paid $75 and had a signed team poster shipped to me. That offer was not and still isn't available to me, which makes little sense imo.
