It’s embarrassing that Coleman isn’t putting up AT LEAST 15 against these scrub teams.
You can't score if you don't shoot and we play at a glacial pace. We're averaging under 54 ppg.

Coleman is averaging seven shots per game and only Jenkins, Aligbe and Addae-Wusu have taken more shots total. So it's not like he's not shooting the ball. You're basically asking him to make every shot he takes to get to 15 ppg. Unrealistic, no?

As a team we've averaged 48.7 shots per game in the three games he's played. Overall it's 47.5 in four games.

May not have a choice. With the question marks surrounding Dual and Harmon, other than Jenkins, nobody can handle the position. How long is Sha gonna make believe that Wusu can play the point? We have no idea how Felton looks in practice but I too would like to see him get some more burn. Unfortunately the cupcake games haven’t gone as planned so his minutes have been severely limited.
#! Sha is likely to stay very long with DAW.
#2 Felton is more of a 2 than a 1 as I recall.

Dual has a shoulder issue, per previous comments. Harmon is another story; no reason has been given for his lack of playing time.

I think you are correct. From the SHU Record Book:

FEWEST POINTS ALLOWED

1. 12 vs. Saint Peter’s, 1/21/42
2. 15 vs. Maryland, 12/30/41
3. 16 vs. Cathedral, 11/27/15
4. 18 vs. Rutgers, 1/9/43
5. 19 vs. West Chester State, 12/2/40
6. 20 vs. Rider, 2/17/47
7. 22 vs. St. Francis (PA), 2/5/41
9. 22 vs. Loyola (MD), 2/2/40
9. 23 vs. Scranton, 1/23/42
10. 26 vs. Rider, 1/6/41, 26 vs. Illinois Wesleyan, 1/4/41
11. 3 games tied at 27
Going back to the knee pad days!

PG & C

I can see the upside from Okorafor. He’s very athletic and moves well for his size; recovers really well on defense, key for the type of switching and ball pressure Sha likes. With him, Erheriene, and Yalden that spot may be OK, we’ll see if can be league average combined.

And it definitely frees up Toumi to give us offense.

Funny, I’m now more concerned about PG than center. There’s no PG play on this team and here I was thinking we’d be better there with Dual and Harmon, neither of whom played today. 🤷‍♂️
Agree 3 headed center works and frees up Tourmi to play PF while PG looks like Wasu which is far from ideal but all we have at present.

Don't over think it - Defense has been good

The acid test against VCU. They have height up front, good guard play & they put up a load of points. They are a balanced scoring team with 3 or 4 players who can hurt you. We have another 50 point game & we have another loss. Sha cannot screw around with them--not a MAAC team. (Have a relative that lives a few blocks from their campus) If we can somehow find 65-75 points we win--where those points come from???????????
Points are largely a function of tempo. Merrimack held VCU to 63 (and scored 42 themselves).

My guess is they tried to put VCU through the grinder just as we will.

If we score more than 70 in a game this year, I'd bet we'd lose -- maybe by double digits -- because we weren't able to play our style.

So, I think the NIT could be possible. Yes, one game at a time. How will we beat a team with length that pushes our offense out to the perimeter? The defense has been relatively solid except for a few plays in the late stages of the two losses. We will still root, but we have to be realistic too.
Unfortunately our offense is pushed out to the perimeter already. If we don’t get more off the ball actions and penetration, it will be more of the same with hoisting 3s at the end of the shot clock.
