A great regular season.

Win %-wise 6th, one of the better BE records we’ve had. 👏

And the program’s 9th consecutive season at .500 or better in the league, continuing the all-time record streak since joining the BE. Previous was just 3 under Carlesimo.

Now let’s get some NCAAT wins!

And still barely in the tourney.....the NET rankings are total garbage
We didn’t help ourselves in the non-conference. Zero good wins and lost every power conference game going 0-4 and outscored by 46 points in them, a terrible average.

Why we had to do major damage - 13 wins at least - in conference play. How many teams in our range have beaten NET #3 and NET #13? That should keep us out Dayton.

Amazing record for us. Sha is just gonna get better as a coach. Kudos to him and our team. After that OOC no one would have believed that record. Great job by our players and coaches!
Really excited to see how this group does in the postseason. They’ve got all the intangibles and now play like their coach.

Never thought we would get to 13 wins. And the big wins over Connecticut, Marquette and Villanova, plus the St. John sweep. All sweet.

And not to tarnish the record, but DePaul and Georgetown… 2–38? 12-24 from 3 last night and not one attempt was contested. They are so bad.

EVERY other team in the conference got the 4-0 benefit. That’s unthinkable.

Seton Hall
2-4 vs big 3
11-3 vs rest

SJU
1-5 vs big 3
10-4 vs rest

Villanova
1-5 vs big 3
9-5 vs rest

Providence
2-4 vs big 3
8-6 vs rest

At some point, results have to matter. Look at the BE “bubble”. SHU and Providence are the only 2 that won 2 games against the top of the league. But take that out, to only have 3 losses against the pack, where the rest have 4, 5 and 6, that says something.

Big East will get 5 or 6 in the tournament and we will not be in Dayton. Our NET may be bad, but you want NET on that page because as important as your NET is, your performance against other strong teams as noted above (sure; throw out 4 wins for each against Georgetown and DePaul) does matter. I mean Nova went .500 with 4 gimmes. Come on.

Despite Gtown almost losing 2x to Depaul, at least they were competitive in many games (both SHU, both Providence, both Xavier, both St John's). I mean this Depaul team got hammered by everyone. They lost the 20 games by average of 23.9ppg and 26.3ppg if you exclude Gtown. They had only 6 games where they lost by less than 20, and had 6 losses by 30 or more. If you exclude Gtown, every loss was by 11 or more.

You just made the case to exclude Nova!

Certainly want to enjoy the next ten days, but I'm interested to see how the staff builds next year's team. I think the big five all leave. Wonder who stays after that.
Will always-highly touted freshman contribute; will they be healthy?

Agree 100%. That cost us the 3 seed and possibly the 2 in the BET and would have solidified a 10 seed at a minimum
The 6.1 inbound with a TO granted with 4 seconds in reg up 2is what lost the game and 2nd place. Nothing else during the game mattered. Fouls are subjective. Counting to 5 is not.
