AOC - dumbest human on earth

Wow, I always wanted to think you were the level-headed , non-partisan centrist you portray on here but that was merely a character as fictional as Santa Clause.

Not about supporting her? You parrot her ridiculous Bush equivalency statement made a day or two after the attacks with her calculated remarks given in front of a gathering of the multiple unindicted co-conspirators of terrorism CAIR organization. True colors, my man, true colors.

She's about the unwavering support of muslims and that's fine, they deserve representation as a group, but there's nothing to indicate she wouldn't put the needs and wants of muslims over Americans.

Dan Crenshaw gave an eye to battle terrorism; Omar and others of her ilk pay lip service to terrorism and those that support it.
Take that back about Santa Clause

I'm talking about Crenshaw.

He didnt mention CAIR. HIS issue was with her calling terrorists "some people" while she is speaking to a group of muslims.

That's seriously just a really dumb and dangerous take. She wasnt downplaying what happened on 9/11 at all. Many politicians have said something similar and it wasnt an issue.

but there's nothing to indicate she wouldn't put the needs and wants of muslims over Americans.

Nice fearmongoring. She has been openly critical of some Muslim countries. Do you have evidence to suggest every Christian or Jew electected will not put the needs of people of their faith first before the country? Omar gave the same oath they did. Why do you need extra evidence from her over every other elected member of Congress?

Muslim Americans are American.

And you think republicans in the bag from the NRA push sensible gun legislation to benefit Americans? Stop it. “Thoughts and prayers”

You think the president wouldn’t put himself before Americans? Stop it.

Crenshaw's issue is spot on. By refusing to acknowledge who committed 911, she pandered to a terrorist sympathizing organization. That's what's really dangerous.

And then you called Crenshaw a racist, there's is NO basis for that.

Muslim Americans are American.

Not if they are pro-Sharia law.

And you think republicans in the bag from the NRA push sensible gun legislation to benefit Americans? Stop it. “Thoughts and prayers”.

Sensible is a loaded word. But there is that thing called the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution.

You think the president wouldn’t put himself before Americans? Stop it.

This president, sure he would in certain situations ($$$$). What president hasn't?

By refusing to acknowledge who committed 911,

That didn't happen.

Honestly not sure how you possibly walk away from watching her speech and think that she refuses to acknowlege anything.

And then you called Crenshaw a racist, there's is NO basis for that.

Not saying he is racist, but again... If a white person said the same thing she did, I dont believe he would have said anything.

I do feel for Muslims in america who want nothing to do with terrorism but are viewed as an enemy as they walk down the street or get on a plane, or even just serve in congress apparently. Thats where her speech is coming from.

Yeah people who want to govern based on their religion shouldn't be allowed to work in government. Where do I sign up for that?
The fact you want to take religion out of government is sad. No person should have to forfeit their beliefs the second they walk into office. We need more God more than ever. Maybe there is a correlation between the amount of hate and emptiness of so many churces.

We all know it was muslims who perpetrated 911. not "some people". You know, description of the suspects.

Stop, nobody here is that stupid, you 100% called Crenshaw a racist, that's actually kind of despicable, a guy who gave an eye for his country, black, white, brown, muslim, etc.

Yes that must suck for the millions of good law-abiding muslims. But there are also millions who subscribe to sharia law, that is just inhumane and despicable. Those muslims are not real Americans and have no place being here. If that offends, too bad!

I or even just serve in congress apparently. Thats where her speech is coming from.

No it's not, not even close, the totality of her record indicates she is not some moderate that you want to portray.

You'd rather call a decorated war hero a racist.

Not when it conflicts with the Constitution.

This includes the right and the left when they hide behind their religion or when they claim to be a certain religion at election time only to quickly change once elected.

From your posts in this thread, my assumption is that you have not heard or read her entirr speech. You should. It was as clear as day who she was talking about.

I believe Crenshaw was wrong, and o dont believe he would have posted his tweet if a white person said what Omar said. That doesnt make him a racist.

Serious question, have you talked to American Muslims about your concerns here?

, the totality of her record indicates she is not some moderate that you want to portray.

I didn't portray her as anything.
I do think you have characterized her improperly in this thread though.

As they don't try and push their religion on their constituents, I would be willing to vote for anyone of any religion if I believed in them and their policies.

Pelosi apparently referring to AOC's win:

"This glass of water would win with a ‘D’ next to its name in those districts.”

To some degree the remark is being taken out of context but it is certainly causing some interesting back and forth and speculation about what she meant by it.

I am sitting here with a bottle of Evian with about 200 names on a petition...

Hey, c’mon guys. Merge has her poster between his Farah Fawcett and Loni Anderson....

Seriously, I don’t begrudge her. It really gives you a view into her constituents. That’s who they wanted as their voice in Washington.

I mean... yeah I think she is attractive, but you are a couple decades off for the other references for me.

Yep. It does. Also gives a view into the anti-aoc folks that nitpick at every single word she says.
The criticism against her is one of the reasons our politicians suck. People can't speak off the cuff, they need to poll every word that comes out of their mouths first to make sure it plays with all of their voters and all we get are rehearsed speeches.

I don't even agree with everything she believes in, but yes I do want representatives to show us who they are and what they believe instead of showing us who they think we want them to be.

You know, you could replace AOC with Trump in that explanation...and same would apply.:)

Based on the history of Trump's comments about politicial issues, I disagree. Most, if not all of his positions are based on an opportunity to gain support of angry voters.

For example, he was pro choice and employed illegal immigrants.

AOC’s constituents aren’t angry??? Lol...that’s funny.

We could say that about any of the politicians.

Every time I see Pocahontas, MaxineWaters, Biden, etc, they are screaming about something.

One of these days Pocahontas's eyes are going to pop out of her head.

Getting back to the recent post that sparked a revival of this thread one would have to agree that the concentration camp remark was over the top.

Equating our detention facilities to World War II concentration camps is intellectually weak. It shows that her knowledge of history is based on soundbites, imagery and very little reading.

She should take a cue from Thomas Jefferson and hit the Library of Congress.
