Bennett: Virginia would decline White House invite

Right, so in your opinion politicians failing us brought a celebrity presidency of Obama and Trump... Yet you never said that Obama was a result of that while he was President. You just went after his leadership and failure to negotiate.

Lol. You dont have a conspiracy theory but you just hope there isnt a very specific one?
So you can now recall every one of my posts and thoughts about Obama? Who knew Obama was going to run the White House like a celebrity until he did? Time allows us to go back now and look at both his eight years as well as trumps two and their similarities.

Based on Barr’s testimony there is clearly an investigation going on that is looking into Obama and Clinton’s role. I'm not proposing a theory based on linking a series of events, but was just saying it would be concerning if there was a coordination of some kind with them and the intelligence community. I’ll leave it up to them to let the facts fall where they may, just as I did with Mueller.

What part of Barr's testimony made you think Barr was looking into Hillary and Obama?
I didn't hear that at all... Seems like you have taken Barr's quotes and linked it to a theory.

I did hear him say he is looking into what started the investigation, but that is right in the Mueller report itself.

" On May 6, 2016, 10 days after that meeting with Mifsud, Papadopoulos suggested to a representative of a foreign government that the Trump Campaign had received indications from the Russian government that it could assist the Campaign through the anonymous release of information that would be damaging to Hillary Clinton." ... The foreign government conveyed this information to the U.S. government on July 26, 2016, a few days after WikiLeaks's release of Clinton-related emails. The FBI opened its investigation of potential coordination between Russia and the Trump Campaign a few days later based on the information."

That is what started it this whole thing. I have no problem with Barr looking into it though. I am all for transparency here.

Moving back to the OP, it looks like Country House won't be going to the White House anytime soon.

Country House; no...:lol, But Tiger Woods accepting the invitation to receive the Medal of Freedom from Trump today. Two guys that know how to optimize their brand.

They also have agendas and biases. You don't have to be an "expert" on something to offer a valid opinion on the topic.

For example, I follow Michael Beschloss on Twitter because of the great photos and historical insights he posts. But he is incapable of suppressing his incredible bias against this president.

Trump is not a member of the elite, political class in this country. He was never "supposed" to be president. He's not "one of them" (policy elites, historians, academics, etc.), he's an outsider and he doesn't conform to their system. That will forever be held against him. His personal failings and immorality are just gravy.

Lay people have agendas and biases minus the credentials and expertise. Experts don't have to google and rely on the urban dictionary. And FWIW, Trump doesn't fair well among historians that identify as Republicans. They rated him the 4th worst in one such poll. No one is suggesting you have to be an expert to offer a valid opinion, however one shouldn't confuse the weight of their opinion versus that of an expert. Just ask the anti-vax crowd how that logic is working out. Tom Nichols wrote a book about this https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/26720949-the-death-of-expertise
