COVID Comparison

I will say to his point, if you watch a yankees or mets game you get about an advertisement per inning from the doctor of NYC telling you why you should get the vaccine.
right and those areas are high vaccination rates/dem areas. does a better job proving merges point.

now what about the regions in question? kind of odd to weigh in on your nyc experience when speaking to places like the bible belt

If that's supposed to be a shot at me, I'll just have a chuckle.

Nobody is looking down on the "uneducated". These states have high obesity rates and low vaccination rates. Both facts, I'm sorry if that offends you 85.

I've always voted with the people in these places in mind because their communities have been decimated by free trade and outsourcing. I donate to groups to help communities/kids in the Appalachians.
You’re the one that brought up the term “uneducated”. Not me. You seem to have a problem with people that may not share your level of education. Pretty sad.

The messaging is vaccination for all. I believe in vaccination for those who need it.

Are people in the bible belt getting ads every inning of a ballgame saying don't take it? I mean you can sit there and say none of us should question or comment on anything outside the NYC area. You don't live in those areas so while your charts may be fact you don't know the underlying causes because you don't live their day to day lifestyle.

and neither do you. but if you claim thay vaccine rates in nyc are high because of media pressure, youd have to assume the same for other areas.

or do u just get to pick whatever supports your point. "the media pressures us in nyc to get vaccinated and we do, but the vaccine rates over there arent caused by media pressure... take it from somebody who doesnt live there"

awesome

This you?

So there’s a lot of dumb people everywhere. That doesn’t mean the government shouldn’t take a responsible path and educate people whether they listen or not. That education on healthy living during this pandemic has been silent.

This you?
I made no difference between "uneducated" and "educated" dumb people....we have a dumb President...they come in all flavors. Never look down on someone that may have a lesser education then me. Some people like that superiority complex. Swung and missed on that one....

Actually I responded to Hallsome who used the term, pretty sad reading comprehension on your part 85.

I certainly don't look down on anyone for their education level.

Thank you for admitting it is largely uneducated people not getting a safe shot.

Glad you finally get it, assuming you do.

I guess you have a reading AND writing comprehension issue....

You denied using a word that you typed? Got it....

See message above numbnuts. I used Hallsomes words.

Yikes. You're living proof that you dont have to be smart to be "successful".

I never claimed anything. I asked merge if that could be a factor. And he said it definitely was.

Yikes. You're proving even "successful" people can be morons.
Trump didn’t prove that? People in Washington the last 50 years haven’t proven that to you? It took Hall85 on 9-27-21 to prove that to you? I won’t call you a moron but you’re a little late to the party.

lol... come on. They are colloquial synonyms. Your horse is just as high as anyone else in this thread when you say the government should be educating people on stuff you know... as they would be the uneducated in that sentence.

“Colloquial Synonyms”? How hard did you have to search for that term. Dumb and uneducated are two very different terms. Keep flailing though.

I think you've been pretty oblivious to the world if didn't think there are successful morons in the world today. It stands to reason since the "successful" people can be morons, should we put blind faith in the successful people telling us all what's best for covid.

And because I know you care, yes successful people came up with food pyramid that made us unhealthy.

Imagine the guy who brags about his important meetings with CEOs to random people on the internet telling anyone they are on a high horse 🤣.

Insecure to say the least.

I guess the word "perspective" escapes you too....

what are u guy even fighting over? is the question about vaccination rates caused by political affiliation? of course they are. the data is unanimous. everything else is trolling.

of course its also not a zero sum game. dem minorities have fear and lack for education to thank for vaccine hesitency. both things i dont blame them for having.

unvaccinated republicans dont have hesitency, they have hatred. and its not just media but social media. being weaponized for anti vaccination. and it ties in fjb, dumb lib, blue lives matter, and anti vax all into one. its the platform used to get votes all across the south/rural except this platorm is killing its voters.

you like KFF? hows this article from today ? not only do they state that 70% of black adults support getting one shot, they also state Republicans, rural residents, those without degrees, etc are the most combatitive.

youre getting faced by your own sources on every topic youve commented on.are you ready to admit youve been trolling this whole time?just arguing for arguments sake?

Can also extrapolate from the CDC link he posted. It says about 10.5% of the 60% where race is known, went to black people. Applying that to the entire population would be 213,657,193 x .105 = just over 22.4 million which is roughly about 72% of the 18+ population being vaccinated.

Though surely some of those shots would be going to the 12-17 bucket as well, but 70% receiving at least one shot probably isn't far off but may be slightly high for fully vaccinated.

The inferences based on these polls can vary and probably do so along political lines.

For example, rural vs urban.

One might expect the rural number to be lower.

One inference
If you live in a crowded city with a higher likelihood of be closer to more people, there is a greater need then if you live on a farm.

Another inference:
People who live on farms are stupid.

For Republican vs Democrat:

Aside from the fact that there is a high density of Democrats in urban areas,

One Inference:

Democrats are more intelligent and reasonable because they realize that getting the vaccine will help stop the spread. Republicans are stupid.

Another inference:

Democrats are statists and would jump off a bridge if the government said it was a good idea. Republican's are smart, independent thinkers and realize they have natural immunity having contracted Covid and don't wish to take any risk with a new vaccine

And so forth.

see merge post, but the point relates to the graph i showed. how has hesitancy, who has bias. the black and hispanic community are the highest growing. there is no ill public perception among them. only ill public perception among the republicans. its messaging. its a republican thing

And so forth.

Not really any of that.

If you truly understand your risks and choose not to get vaccinated, I have no issue with that if you're black, white, orange, republican, democrat, whatever....

The problem is that there are thousands and thousands of people who did not get vaccinated but WERE at risk of severe disease and had to be hospitalized because of Covid, many of which are now dead. So the question is, why did they choose to not get the vaccine?

What I am inferring is that it is not a coincidence that most of this 4th wave was in areas with lower vaccination rates, and those lower vaccination rates have a very strong correlation with political ideology as the anti-vax rhetoric was being pushed from right leaning media.

Black and Hispanic communities have lowest vaccination rates. Congratulations that you found data that eliminates age groups to push the number up, but still well below other groups...that’s pretty obvious. Your assumptions are MSM talking points. I’m sure people in those communities have personal reasons. There’s not ONE reason and no group is smarter than another.

Love the people who go back and forth like kids about reading comprehension too funny

uneducated people don’t get the shot (generally), I brought up socioeconomics months ago.

and in America nobody should be forced to get it.

I think we’re persuading people hahaha

its fresh data from one of your trusted sources. why wouldnt you look at ONLY 18+ when it deals woth pharma and age of consent??

the point is that those groups are growing at the highest rate because they are different from the group of republicans that arent getting it out of spite/hate/political direction.

They are growing at a higher rate because they were starting off with the lowest denominator. That’s just math.

Back when I posted that kff tracking site for the first time 2 months ago, it showed: Black people were at 60%, republicans were at 52%
Today Black people are 70%, republicans at 58%

Higher number increased 10 percentage points (16.7% increase)
Lower number increased 6 percentage points (11.5% increase)

That's just math.

That the anti-vax messaging pushed from right wing politicians and media personalities was effective, and that rhetoric was/is party responsible for the quantity of hospitalizations and deaths in the the 4th wave.

btw, I'm not the one that brought up black people as a comparison. That was you two months ago... and the comparisons continued because of that.

So if you're into stats, African-American community has by far the lowest vaccination rates. Political party most are affiliated?

You replied to me and the context was the same.

You wanted to downplay the fact that this 4th wave was occurring in red areas with lower vaccination rates because Black people are less likely to be vaccinated than white people and they tend to be liberal.

The whole red blue thing is silly. There are no statistics on hospitalizations or deaths by political party. Your correlations are just your unproven assumptions. I gave you a specific example in Pennsylvania that blew your theory out of the water.

It's not a red vs blue thing... It is a who did the anti-vax messaging impact thing.

Your 1 example did not blow anything out of water in context of comparing it to the rest of the country.
Mountain on support on one side vs one outlier in PA?

You’d see it if Trump won and the left was pushing against the vaccine.
