One of the rare times I will agree with one of your posts. He's got to go. The Democrat version of Trump.
His handling of COVID has killed any Presidential aspirations. And his cover up may be criminal. Good analogy to Trump...enormous tone deaf ego.
It's an allegation. We've only heard one side of the story, but he better have legit proof as his credibility is at an all time low.
Not going to pile on someone when the chips are down and all we have is an accusation at this point, but if de Blasio and many others are saying this is who Cuomo is, why the hell have they been silent all of these years on this bully and harassment culture? Why the hell has the media not exposed this? Who has been complicit in shutting people up and keeping this from coming out? If this turns out to be who the governor is, he’s been protected by a lot of people and all of them need to go down with him.
I agree any shot at running for President is over. I don't think the non reporting is a criminal matter. However, it is evidence of lacking of leadership and hypocrisy. I did think he did a good job with his daily press briefings during the beginning of the pandemic. However, to cover up a mistake you made is the epitome of lack of leadership and quite the opposite from his book that he wrote which is laughable at this time.
Here is the thing. Leadership would have been admitting that putting CoVid patients back into the nursing homes was a mistake that was a lesson learned early on. Lack of leadership is trying to minimize that grave mistake.

Agree that “political leadership” is pretty much an oxymoron. It was only months ago that Cuomo and Trump were going at it every day arguing about ventilator availability...the first line therapy that was proven to be one of the biggest mistakes that was made and killed thousands unnecessarily.
No I'm saying this is the time to attack the system IF TRUE. Don’t just get the culprit, get all the enablers. How many people got bullied and harassed all while deBlasio knew this was going on? Who on team Cuomo knew this was happening and said we can't let this get out? Who in the media saw this and said nothing? I'll say it again, this is all an allegation. It's no different than than any other accusation at this point. I need facts to come out before I say he's innocent or guilty. I'm not going to assume he's guilty, I'll let it play out.
Not one of the broadcast networks are covering this story.Cuomo even made anatomy jokes yesterday.He obviously knows the MSM will not cover story.We are in a downward spiral.All the networks except Fox not covering any bad stories on democrats along with social media.We have a make believe catholic president who is the most aggressively pro abortion president in history and has officiated at gay weddings and is now nominating a partial birth abortion advocate for HHS secretary.Cardinal Tobin a guy who hasn’t miss a meal since he was ordained saying you can vote for Biden in good conscience ,but not for Trump.A pope who says it is not right to build walls at borders although he only commented on the US not the other 18 countries who have walls.I guess because they are not headed by Trump.If you want open borders it appears to some clerics that they will overlook your position on advocating for abortion, gay marriage.I am attending daily mass during lent on a different parish than mine because they have a 12 o’clock mass.I was hearten to hear the priest in his sermon on hypocrisy sayfor example Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi talking about their catholic devotion and that actively pushing things the Catholic Church condemns.Than God we have some priests willing to say it as it is.

Maybe it's the conspiracy theorist in me, but I find it odd when somebody is either just about to reach a dream like Kavanaugh or just becoming a liability like Cuomo that all of these things come out. I'm no fan of the cool dude in a loose mood, but it wouldn't surprise me if people are searching for anybody in Cuomo's past who ever felt awkward in his presence. Had nothing ever surfaced about the nursing homes, these accusations would never see the light of day in my opinion.
Well there is two ways to look at it. It’s part of an overall strategy to derail someone’s career or maybe the individual(s) held back going public before because of fear....now there is an opportunity to be heard.
Without knowing the details, difficult to speculate on something like this. We know of legitimate accusations or instances that have been buried because of the powerful individual or institution on the other side. We also know of allegations or instances that prove to be false. And we know of allegations or instances that are driven by politics. Where I always fall is that due process and truth matters.
My only presumption relates to the media coverage of this. If Cuomo's last name were Desantis, we know what the mainstream media would be doing right now, how it would be covered, who would be covering it or writing about it, and the ensuing games that would be played.

I'm no Republican, but from my vantage point the Kavanaugh situation was suspect on so many levels, and frankly what the D's did to that guy was criminal.
Cuomo's wield a lot of power. Well connected for many years. I'm sure she knows how connected they are in the Dem party and on the outside too. Don't forget the bro on CNN too so there are risks in politics and in the media. If her allegation is credible, she has to be careful and weather the storm. Seems to be gaining some traction but people close to him will continue to cover for him.
Not equating Cuomo to Harvey Weinstein but sometimes it takes on brave person to step up for others to follow. I’m sure she knows this is the end of her political career if it gets squashed. Boylin has something to lose here.

I dislike Cuomo as much as anyone. But isn't it odd that all these women are coming out of the woodwork now? Where were they before? A third just came out tonight. Makes me question the sincerity of their stories even though I'd love it to bring Cuomo down.
the idea is that they feel safe and empowered to come out now that one person did.
i buy that idea sometimes. only sometimes. you always here people say "why does a famous person need to do xyz.." ... well thats the point. they probably didnt do xyz theres a chance its made up to exploit a rich person. athletes are a big target of this. thinking of patrick kane a few years ago.
One noticeable difference here is that Cuomo’s tune has changed 180°. He blatantly denied Boylan’s claim and then apologized for saying inappropriate things on the second claim. Boylan originally claimed there were two other woman that she spoke with that weren’t comfortable about coming forward. Maybe that was the deal. She goes first and they follow.

I agree. I think the people backing them, making them feel safe now are the same people that would’ve destroyed them 3 months ago. There’s more at play behind the scenes than we will ever know which gives these people the security to do this. As I said previously maybe it’s the conspiracy theorist in me that makes me think this way, but I think there’s a lot to this that we will never know. Politics is all about power and at this point it may be good for dems to get rid of Cuomo and get new blood in there to retain power. I think if Cuomo was still a long term power these stories would never see the light of day. Cuomo was likely going down with the nursing homes but this just speeds that process up.

Agree 100% and it's why we will never get clean, honest people with little or no skeletons in their closet to run for office on either side of the aisle.
Bingo. And the mistake is believing that your “side” is comprised entirely of the “clean” or “moral” ones. 90% are in it for the power and the $$ they ultimately follows, one way or the other. Someone explain to me how many of these folks accumulate so much wealth in office on government salaries - either directly or through their family money. And most when they leave office only make more.
Let’s be clear. I didn’t hear him apologize for what he did/said. I think the gist was he was sorry that his actions were taken incorrectly. Classic victim blaming. Just like assuming #2/3 are making it up because they’re suddenly appearing.
It takes tremendous strength to come forward and some get that strength from numbers. To assume otherwise is feeding into the same ideology that these scumbags feel, that they’re above it.
How did Tiger or Weinstein or Cosby line up so many skeletons in the closet until the levee broke and they all poured out? And note, I know Tiger’s were consensual but not so much to his wife. Lol

Yeah, "apology" may be a bit generous. He is tone-deaf in addition to being a scumbag and he's now going to pay for it. Scumbags are scumbags....doesn't matter political affiliation, race, age, etc. Just a shame that the MSM doesn't use that as a litmus test.
Think about Weinstein...just about everyone in Hollywood (men included) knew what was going on, but they all stayed silent. No wonder the victims were hesitant to come forward for so many years. Nothing worse than someone in power, abusing it and preying on others. I think we are always a little cynical when someone comes out of the woodwork, but the three women that have come out against Cuomo all look to be career-minded with a lot to lose.
I really felt bad for Elin...she (and the kids) were the real victims of Tiger's act. I respect her for how she responded to something that must have been devastating. It's tough for me to root for him now given that and how he disrespected the game when he couldn't win. Funny that the MSM made a big deal about players wearing red/black this past Sunday as a tribute, but it was just a handful of players that did it. The "love" on tour is grossly overstated in the press.
